He studied with friend and classmate David Allen Grier at both the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and the Yale School of Drama, where he was a non-MFA student.

(July 1978) Played a featured role in The Actor's Ensemble (Ann Arbor, Michigan) production of Jonathan Reynolds' comedy "Yanks 3 Detroit 0 Top of the Seventh" directed by B. David Green.

(July 1980) Initially a member of the Williamstown Theatre Company's non-Equity Second Company, was cast in their Mainstage production of "Whose Life is it Anyway?" starring Richard Dreyfuss and directed by John Badham.

(2013) TV commercial Capital One with Alec Baldwin

(May 2009) Starring with Kevin Anderson, Keir Dullea, Karl Harpur and Barry McEvoy in the theater version of "The Shawshank Redemption" at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, Ireland.
