Mary Castle was born on January 22, 1931 in Pampa, Texas, USA as Mary Ann Noblett. She was an actress, known for The Lawless Breed (1953), Stories of the Century (1954) and Prairie Roundup (1951). She was married to Edward Frezza, Wayne Cote and William Grant. She died on April 29, 1998 in Palm Springs, California, USA.

Rita Hayworth lookalike.
Though she may never have known it, Mary was a 3rd cousin once removed to another actress, Irene Ryan (born Irene Noblitt). Both had common ancestral roots in the Noblet - Noblitt - Noblett family of Appalachian Georgia and North Carolina, reaching back to Quaker immigrants from Ireland to Pennsylvania, and from Ireland to a centuries-long line of French lords named Noblet and Noblette.

Was made 'honorary police chief' of Universal City, California, in March 1953.
Afflicted by alcoholism in the late 1950's, she was twice arrested on drunk charges and attempted suicide by hanging herself in her jail cell on November 26 1959.
In the early 1960's, worked as press agent for New Orleans Kitchen gourmet specialties and as a hostess at the Garden Room Restaurant at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
