Great Night for Guilds, But Prop. 32 Results Not In

6 November 2012 11:23 PM, PST | The Hollywood Reporter | See recent The Hollywood Reporter news »

Entertainment union leaders cheered tonight’s reelection of President Barack Obama in statements to The Hollywood Reporter, but continued to wait for results of a California ballot proposition that would restrict unions’ ability to speak out on ballot propositions in the future. “I’m thrilled (with Obama’s reelection),” said Gabrielle Carteris, president of SAG-aftra’s Los Angeles local. “He’s been working through what he inherited (and) in the next four years, we get to see what he’s building.” Carteris emphasized that she was speaking on her own behalf, as SAG-aftra does not endorse candidates. SAG-aftra Launches a Robust Push to Stop Passage of Prop. 32 in Calif.

5 November 2012 11:24 AM, PST | backstage.com | See recent Backstage news »

With less than 24 hours to go before the polls open for Election Day, SAG-aftra has launched a robust final push to stop the passage of Proposition 32 in California. It’s joined with the Directors Guild of America, Iatse, Professional Musicians Local 47, Teamsters Local 399, and Ibew Local 40 to get its membership to the polls to defeat the proposition, which would prevent corporations and unions from using payroll deductions for political purposes. It would also ban those entities from donating directly to state and local candidates. (It wouldn’t apply to federal campaigns, which are governed by federal law.) SAG-aftra members have been phone banking and some are walking precincts to get out the vote on Tuesday. Gabrielle Carteris, SAG-aftra national vice president and co-president of the union’s Los Angeles local, called the proposition “a sham.” “It silences the voices of working Californians and infringes on their rights to fight for »

SAG-aftra Plans Zombie Protest Against Prop. 32

25 October 2012 3:45 PM, PDT | backstage.com | See recent Backstage news »

SAG-aftra is turning to the undead in its campaign against Proposition 32. The union has come out against the November ballot initiative, also known as “paycheck protection,” which would prevent corporations and unions from using payroll deductions for political purposes. It would also ban those entities from donating directly to state and local candidates. (It wouldn’t apply to federal campaigns, which are governed by federal law.) It’s been educating its members about the proposition and using top officials, including Gabrielle Carteris, the union’s national vice president and co-president of the union’s Los Angeles local, to speak out against it. Now SAG-aftra is turning to zombies. The Los Angeles local is planning to make up officials as zombies on Oct. 31 to raise awareness of how “spooky Prop. 32 really is.” According to a release, the union’s zombies will start off at noon on Halloween from its Los Angeles »

Old Navy Is Making Moves, Snags Backstreet Boys For Next Commercial

20 September 2012 12:59 PM, PDT | Celebsology | See recent Celebsology news »

The Backstreet Boys are making the rounds, and their next stop just so happens to be in front of the cameras for an Old Navy commercial. A new clip was just released Wednesday afternoon of the guys boys rocking out in some new jeans for the store. As the narrator says, the company is looking for people of all shapes and sizes, using the Backstreet Boys' song "Everybody" perfectly.

Old Navy is doing fantastic on their selling point as of recently. Just last month actors Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Luke Perry and Gabrielle Carteris all came together for some promos themselves. Nothing like a Beverly Hills 90210 reunion.

Who will be next?

Jennie Garth and Luke Perry to Reunite for New Sitcom?!?

31 August 2012 10:51 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

We can't believe we're about to write this, but...

Jennie Garth and Luke Perry have reportedly discussed costarring in a sitcom, with a rep for the actress telling celebrity gossip site Rumor Fix that it would be a "multi-camera half-hour show" and that "currently we have producers and writers, and are meeting with networks.”

The former Beverly Hills 90210 costars - whose characters, of course, ended up together to conclude that iconic soap opera - have remained close through the years and recently reunited (along with Jason Priestley and Gabrielle Carteris) for an Old Navy commercial.

Garth recurred on The CW's new 90210 over its first couple seasons, while Perry appeared earlier this year on ABC's Body of Proof.

Would you tune in for a Garth and Perry-led sitcom? »

Reunited? Jennie Garth, Luke Perry Shop Sitcom

31 August 2012 8:46 AM, PDT | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

Jennie Garth and Luke Perry apparently have been doing more together than just shilling for discount dungarees.

A rep for Garth tells RumorFix that the Beverly Hills, 90210 alumni — who recently reunited, along with Jason Priestley and Gabrielle Carteris, for a tongue-in-cheeky Old Navy ad campaign — are “developing a sitcom together,” in which they would both star.

“It will be a multi-camera half-hour show,” the rep adds. “Currently we have producers and writers, and are meeting with networks.”

No other details, including the concept/premise, were mentioned, so that’s where you come in. »

And yes, Garth once again has to make a choice between Priestly and Perry, so who wins this round?  "She didn't want to choose between favorites," the narrator says just as Perry, on a motorcycle, and Priestley, holding a stuffed bear (most character-appropriate props ever?), pop up to issue Garth an ultimatum. Old Navy’s Beverly Hills, 90210 Ads: Is There Such A Thing As Too Many Reunions?

9 August 2012 10:03 AM, PDT | TheFabLife - Movies | See recent TheFabLife - Movies news »

Ok, so I work for VH1, which is basically the home of the instant-nostalgia machine. (Gosh, do you remember last week? Don’t you miss it?). Far be it from me to knock anyone else’s attempts to prey on our generation’s capacity to go weak in the knees at the mere hint of a cast reunion from one of our favorite shows or movies. (Wow, remember two days ago, when we got excited over a Dawson’s Creek reunion on Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23? That was awesome.) It’s more than just a chance to see some great characters again, it’s a chance to bond with all of our peers over how much we love that thing. But when I saw the new Old Navy ads, starring Jennie Garth, Jason Priestley, Luke Perry and Gabrielle Carteris, I wondered if maybe we’ve had our fill… »

Hot Video: Old Navy Reunites Beverly Hills, 90210 Grads — Including That Triangle

Remember when the Beverly Hills, 90210 crew were the ones sitting behind the school desks instead of lecturing at the blackboard?

If The CW’s 90210 continuation didn’t signal that those days were gone for good, a new Old Navy ad campaign surely does. In the spots, West Beverly alumni Jennie Garth, Jason Priestley, Luke Perry and Gabrielle Carteris walk the halls of a colorful school wearing items from the clothing company’s fall line.

Though no one refers to the actors by their 90210 names, Carteris’ barely hidden love for Priestley and Garth’s single line – when faced with Perry and Priestley, »

'Beverly Hills 90210' reunion: Jennie Garth and Luke Perry join Jason Priestley and Gabrielle Carteris for Old Navy campaign

Best commercial ever or best commercial ever?

Old Navy reunited "Blossom" costars Joey Lawrence and Mayim Bialik for their floral ad campaign this spring, and now they've targeted another favorite TV show from your childhood: "Beverly Hills, 90210."

In the first ad, Gabrielle Carteris -- who is still the exact same age she was in 1990 -- resumes her familiar role of lusting after Jason Priestley. The only difference is, this time, Andrea Zuckerman and Brandon Walsh are teachers.

The second TV spot sees Jennie Garth and Luke Perry joining the gang. Once again, Kelly's got to make her choice... and once again, she doesn't choose Brandon or Dylan.

If David Silver doesn't show up soon, we will just die.

The '90210' Cast Reunites

Dying for a "90210" reunion? Just tune in to your TV.

Former "90210" stars Jennie Garth, Jason Priestly, and Luke Perry star in the most recent Old Navy back to school commercial promoting "great-fitting jeans."

As to be expected, Garth, who played Kelly, has to choose between Perry (who played Dylan McKay) and Priestly (who played Brandon Walsh), as her character did on the '90s primetime soap. "I choose jeans. All of them!" she says.

"90210," which aired on Fox from 1990-2000, chronicled the dramatic lives of the students of Beverly Hills High School.

Priestly also starred in two other Old Navy back-to-school commercials, one which co-stars Gabrielle Carteris, who played Andrea Zuckerman on the early seasons of "90210." The ad plays up the crush Andrea had on Brandon in the series. The other commercial? Is a lesson on how to avoid getting "pantsed."

But this isn't the first time the clothing company »

Gather Round 'Beverly Hills 90210' Fans: The Cast Reunites For Old Navy Campaign

8 August 2012 1:34 PM, PDT | Celebsology | See recent Celebsology news »

Oh, how good it feels to think back to the Beverly Hills 90210 days. Can you hear the theme song now? Four members of the original cast, Luke Perry, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth and Gabrielle Carteris, just landed themselves in two Old Navy commercials for its back to school campaign. Andrea Zuckerman is back to fawning over Brandon Walsh while a second video shows he and Dylan McKay trying to win over Kelly Taylor's heart all over again.

Not sure what's more unrealistic: Dylan riding his motorcycle in the middle of the hallway, or Andrea still looking like she's 17. Either way, we'll take it!

Old Navy, keep up the good work. Maybe next time Donna Martin can come back to graduate to help you sell some of your summer merchandise.

What do you think about the commercials? Amazing, right? Comment below!
