The Backstreet Boys have a present they want to give to you tonight, girl. The perpetually perky quintet appeared on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” Wednesday day night, performing their new holiday song “It’s Christmas Time Again,” backed by The Roots. [More after the jump...] It’s one of the strongest songs they’ve had since reuniting. The tune is a little redolent of the melody of “Do They Know It’s Christmas Time” crossed with a fun. song. Where are the Christmas outfits, though? Nick Carter’s very serious “get centered” moment when the song begins is worth watching for alone. And is that »
It looks like the Backstreet Boys' A.J. McLean got himself into a wee bit of street trouble the other morning. The Hollywood division of the Lapd tells E! News that the musician was pulled over at 1 a.m. on Tuesday. He was subsequently cited for no valid proof of insurance inside the vehicle. As for why McLean was stopped in the first place, TMZ reports it was due to a problem with his license plates. Fortunately it was nothing serious. After all, McLean recently reunited with the other Backstreet Boys—Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough and Kevin Richardson—and the quintet is currently working on a new album that is scheduled to be released next spring. »
Sahara Davenport was just 27. Here's a look at other reality stars who, like RuPaul's Drag Race alum, died before the age of 30: 1. Joey Kovar: In August, the aspiring actor and fitness buff, whose battles with sobriety caused him to move out of The Real World: Hollywood, and later led him to Celebrity Rehab, was found dead in his native Chicago of a suspected overdose. He was 29. 2. Leslie Carter: Her show-biz clan's reality series House of Carter was short-lived; her family's troubles were not. Leslie, a younger sister of pop stars Nick Carter and Aaron Carter, died this past winter of an overdose at her father's home in Buffalo, New York. She was 25. 3. »
I’m going to come right out and say it: This Wednesday’s X Factor was the show’s best episode ever — and partially because its stars included a pretty boy who spent what felt like 45 minutes debating whether or not to pop his collar, a trio of smokin’-hot sisters, a man who found a controversial (possibly deadly?) solution to male pattern baldness and a heavy-set black woman named Panda who got carried out on a stretcher. (Spoiler alert: All of ‘em advanced to Boot Camp!)
I know, I know, you’re reading this and saying “The X Factor is barely out of diapers. »

Nelly Furtado is set to guest star as herself during the upcoming Season 5 of "90210," which begins in October on The CW.
E! reports that the singer will be performing a song in a November sweeps episode, in support of her upcoming album "The Spirit Indestructible."
She's the second Canadian songstress booked for this season -- Carly Rae Jepsen will be performing her summer earbug "Call Me Maybe" in the season premiere episode on Oct. 8.
It's nothing new for "90210" to employ stunt casting to snare a few extra viewers. In addition to Furtado and Jepsen, Olympic golden boy Ryan Lochte will appear this season. Add those names to a stunt casting list that includes the Kardashians, Joe Jonas, Adrian Grenier, Nick Carter, and of course, several members of the original "Beverly Hills, 90210." »

Look familiar? Alicia Josipovic, who plays the once troubled Bianca De Sousa on the hugely successful Degrassi, isn't just acting as a high schooler these days. Alicia is finishing up her very first album and couldn't be more excited about it! The actress chatted with me recently about the new venture and reveals that the entire process was inspired by her own life. From her father's passing to a bad guy from her past, all of her songs are personal and she believes relatable to fans out there.
So, what can be expected from her debut? A possible first single titled "Psycho,"and even some music videos in the near future. A collaboration with Drake was also a discussion must!
Tell me about your album. When does it come out?

Chicago – “Detention” has style to spare. There’s no denying it. Director Joseph Kahn takes no prisoners in the style department. In every other department, his aggressively annoying “Detention” fails. Character, dialogue, plot — most things that you have come to take for granted in a film — they’re mere afterthoughts here. “Detention” is a film for and by people who end every sentence with an emoticon, have typed “Lol” more often than they’ve actually laughed, and think Wikipedia is a verb. Some will view it as an eventual cult classic (and, for the sake of critical balance on your favorite website, that’s how Adam Fendelman feels). Others will want to tear their eyes out.
I’m very forgiving of style over substance as a critic. Almost to a fault. I believe you can reach a point where the style becomes the substance. But Kahn’s ode to »

Joe Jonas is a superstar. There's no way around that. So it's no surprise the 22-year-old triple threat was chosen as one of four mentors on The CW's new singing competition The Next.
The premise: Joe, along with fellow mentors Gloria Estefan, John Rich and Nelly, travel to different cities across the U.S. each teaming up with an emerging artist from that area. They spend the next 72 hours prepping that person for a live performance where the audience votes on the winner. He or she gets a ticket to the finals in L.A. where they will compete against winners from other cities (and one wildcard) for a life-changing record contract with Atlantic Records.
I recently sat down with Joe on set in New York to talk about his experiences mentoring and what we can expect. Check it out below! And be on the lookout this coming week for »

Celebrity splits are perfect teen preparation for the inevitability of heartache – which will come no matter how cute your bum is
Stop what you're doing, right this second, guys. There is very important news to impart, and I need your full attention. Forget Polly Toynbee – the coalition's sustained, calculated erosion of the welfare state is of no interest to you now, because Robert Pattinson and his co-star Kristen Stewart hit a bad patch following a fling she had with the director Rupert Sanders. They may even break up. Let's all take a minute as the world stops turning.
The phenomenon of people giving a toss about people they have never met has reached new levels of insanity. Within minutes, the hashtag #robsten had been devised, and statements like "no one can destroy Robsten" and "I want this nightmare to end" were clogging up our internet feeds. Perhaps because the superfans »
