Fox Announces Fall Schedule – Get A Look At The New Shows While You Can

18 May 2012 9:09 AM, PDT | AreYouScreening.com | See recent AreYouScreening news »

It’s that time of year, and the networks are revealing their schedules for fall. Fox is always an interesting network when it comes to the upfront season, because they usually don’t have a lot of changes, but they often have fascinating (if doomed) series on the horizon.

The full schedule is below, as are breakdowns of the specific shows, along with trailers, and I want to make sure to point out that they are likely to expire very soon, so you want to catch them while you can.

The really big news for fall is that Glee is moving. The not so big news is that mid-week primetime is still going to be taken over by reality shows. Good news, though not quite news at this point, is that fans of Bones and Fringe are going to get more of their favorite shows, despite the fact that both »

The Mob Doctor Trailer: Coming to Fox!

15 May 2012 5:39 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

A pair of contrasting doctors are coming to Fox this fall.

There's Mindy Kaling's Ob-gyn on The Mindy Project, a successful physician with a penchant for romantic comedies and hope that she'll finally find success in love.

Then there's Jordana Spiro's Grace, a brilliant surgeon who is forced to work for the mob in Chicago in order to pay off a few family debts. That doesn't sound promising for her personal life or her professional life.

The Mob Doctor will air Monday nights at 9 p.m. and also star Wendy Makkena, Jesse Lee Soffer, William Forsythe, James Carpinello, Zach Gilford, Zeljko Ivanek, Floriana Lima and Jaime Lee Kirchner. Watch the first extended trailer now:

14 May 2012 3:03 PM, PDT | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

The trailer for Mindy Kaling's new Fox comedy "The Mindy Project" has hit the web, so you can now officially dry your tears about Kelly Kapoor's departure from "The Office."

In Kaling's new series, which was officially added to Fox's recently announced 2012-2013 schedule, she starts as an Ob/Gyn who has it all together in the examining room, but basically nowhere else.

In this first look at "The Mindy Project," Kaling's character Mindy Lahiri is a Meg Ryan movie devotee who is looking for a man with "the wealth of Mayor Bloomberg, the personality of Jon Stewart, the face of Michael Fassbender ... the penis of Michael Fassbender." Look out for guests stints from "Saturday Night Live" star Bill Haden and Kaling's former "Office" co-star Ed Helms in the trailer below.

Move over, New Girl — there’s a new new girl coming to Fox for the 2012-13 TV season: Mindy Kaling as an adorably lovelorn gynecologist. And she’s not alone. The network’s also got Kevin Bacon playing a serial killer-stopper and Jordana Spiro as a fearless Mob doc.

Wanna meet ‘em? Of course you do. But since premiere season is still a ways away, maybe the full-length trailers for their respective series (and more) will suffice to tide you over.

TV News: Fox Moves ‘Glee,’ ‘Touch,’ Launches Three New Shows

14 May 2012 6:11 AM, PDT | HollywoodChicago.com | See recent HollywoodChicago.com news »

Chicago – When so much of your already-limited primetime schedule is devoted to reality singing competitions and animated programming, it gives a network little room to play. Fox only has a few timeslots once one takes “The X Factor”/”American Idol” and “Animation Domination” out of the equation. But play they will. “Touch” is moving to Fridays, “Glee” is moving to Thursdays, and they will launch three new shows in the Fall.

The Fall on Fox will feature only one new drama (“The Mob Doctor”) and two new comedies (“Ben and Kate” and “The Mindy Project”). Some of their most interesting programming, including the highly touted “The Following” with Kevin Bacon, won’t premiere until mid-season.

Saturdays and Sundays will look the same and “The X Factor” and “American Idol” will have the same Wednesday night two-hour and Thursday result schedule.

The network will also attempt the two-hour comedy block on Tuesday nights again, »
