Early in her acting career, Linda landed supporting roles in The Farrelly Brother's film Kingpin opposite Bill Murray and Woody Harrelson, in the PBS American Playhouse film Darrow opposite Kevin Spacey, was directed by Gillian Armstrong's in Mrs. Soffel opposite Diane Keaton, and Mel Gibson. She worked with Martin Scorsese on Goodfellas, and performed opposite Keanu Reeves in The Prince of Pennsylvania, as well as in a Ron Howard film Gung Ho opposite Michael Keaton.

After seeing Angela Lansbury in the original Broadway production of Sweeney Todd that included her brother Larry, a guitarist in the orchestra, Linda decided to be an actor. She studied at the Pittsburgh Playhouse under direction of Point Park University where she holds a degree in theater, took drama classes at Carnegie Mellon University, and later took a workshop with the late Martin de Maat, co-founder of Chicago's 'Second City' training center and the rest is history.

Linda's musical talents comes from a family of jazz, blues and pop musicians who had regular jam sessions in their home in the 60s with the young (now legendary jazz guitarist) Pat Martino, a friend of her dad's. Her brother taught her how to play the blues harmonica when she was ten, and her mom sang jazz standards.

Coming soon, you can catch Linda in the independent film Helen Alone (2014) starring Daniel Baldwin, and recently she worked with Clark Gregg on Trust Me. Before that, other credits include Comedy Central's Last Laugh, Everybody Hates Chris, Brothers & Sisters, and Friendly Fire - a Sean Lennon & Yoko Ono production.

Linda lives is Los Angeles committed to educating and touching others through the spirit of the arts. In continuing her family tradition, she is preparing to record an album of traditional jazz standards that was so cherished in her home, and to honor the sounds of vintage era, keeping the torch songs alive and swingin'.

She is related to Robert J. Steinmiller Jr.who played Jack in Jack the Bear (1993), and the lead role Jesse Chasseur in The Ref (1994).
Acting and singing, and working as a casting director, she studied drama and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Pittsburgh Playhouse, under the direction of Point Park University. Also, she has studied with Martin De Maat from Chicago's Second City, and with drama instructors at Carnegie Mellon University.
She was personal assistant for Nastassja Kinski and personal driver for Robert Mitchum on Maria's Lovers (1984), her first feature film job that got her hooked on the movies.
Her brother Larry Carola, was a musician for original "Sweeney Todd" on Broadway with Angela Lansbury and Len Cariou, "They're Playing Our Song", and "Platinum" (1978) starring Alexis Smith and by Bruce Vilanch. He did a world tour with Maureen McGovern, and was guitarist for Eartha Kitt's and Lorna Luft, Radio City Music Hall, as well as having recorded with Phoebe Snow and Paula Lockheart.
In 2007, she met Oprah Winfrey at the CNN building in Los Angeles while working there and recommended the Abounding River: The Game of Being Abundance to her.
She ran lights for a Rob Marshall production of "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" at the Pittsburgh Playhouse and went to school with Paul DiMeo while studying acting there in the early 80s.
Her mom was a jazz singer, and her dad was a jazz guitar player who jammed with his friend the legendary jazz guitarist, Pat Martino when he visited their home in his youth on a regular basis back in the '60's. Linda would stay up listening to the jam session until she fell asleep in the wee hours of the morning.
She was an extra in Fatal Attraction (1987) & Working Girl (1988).
She was cast in a Sean Lennon and Yoko Ono production in 2006.
Is a wedding officiant for non-denominational, nontraditional and traditional ceremonies, having officiated one of the first same sex marriages in California.
While in training at Pittsburgh Playhouse, she worked on student projects with other Playhouse alum that included Paul DiMeo and producer Jimmy Miller.
Taught an actors marketing class at Carnegie Mellon University's theater department.
