Star Trek Online: Agents of Yesterday expansion release date announced

Star Trek Online developer Cryptic Studios and leading  free to play Mmorpg publisher Perfect World Entertainment Inc, have today announced the release date for Star Trek Online: Agents of Yesterday as 6th July.

Agents of Yesterday is the third expansion for the popular Star Trek themed free to play Mmorpg and celebrates the 50th anniversary of Star Trek: The Original Series by transporting players back in time to command ships appropriate to the original series.  Agents of Yesterday will also include iconic characters and 5 new playable ships from the original series such as a the Constitution Class USS Enterprise and the Daedalus Class Science Vessel.  There will also be the opportunity to visit multiple locations from the original series including Edren (the planet where Kirk fought the Gorn).

To give players a fully immersive experience Cryptic Studios are even using some special voice actors.  Walter Koenig will be resuming his role of Chekov, »
