16 August 2017 8:00 AM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

Running September 22-24 in New York, Tribeca TV will feature the world premieres of the upcoming new series “At Home with Amy Sedaris,” as well as “Designated Survivor” Season 2 and “Red Oaks” Season 3. Also getting special previews are Season 2 of the Emmy-nominated “Better Things,” the fourth season of “Gotham,” the upcoming Sundance TV miniseries “Liar,” and NBC’s revival of classic sitcom “Will & Grace.”

New Geostorm Trailer Promises Destruction On An Epic Scale

6 July 2017 5:22 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Gerard Butler has done it all – when it comes to movies, that is. He’s fought against an army of Persians in 300, broken our hearts in P.S. I Love You, and saved the President of the United States not once, but twice, across Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen. With Geostorm though, the Scottish actor is going up against what’s perhaps his greatest enemy yet: Mother Nature.

Skydance has peeled back the curtain once again to deliver another jaw-dropping trailer for the film, which triggers a storm of biblical proportions. Caught up in the midst of that global catastrophe is Butler’s astronaut, who’s sent to space on a mission to course-correct humanity’s climate-controlling satellites. But those same instruments designed to mitigate natural disasters soon become mankind’s worst enemy, and while suspended in outer space, Butler’s lead character uncovers a plot to assassinate the Potus – and no, »

Gotham Ep Discusses Ra’s al Ghul, Dances Around Subject Of Harley Quinn

24 April 2017 11:23 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Something that’s rung true when it comes to Gotham is that the Batman prequel series has certainly seen no shortage of villains, a quality that some fans will argue as being either a strength or a detriment. But no matter how you feel, you have to admit that its refreshing takes on the likes of Penguin, Riddler, Hugo Strange, Mr. Freeze and even a proto-Joker have made for some compelling television.

With the show beginning the final stretch of season 3 later tonight, much discussion continues to surround major elements of the Batman mythos that will come to be before the current run wraps. One of those is that of the introduction of none other than Ra’s al Ghul, whom those who’ve been keeping up on the latest news know to be the man behind this version of the Court of Owls.

Nature Fights Back in First Trailer for ‘Geostorm’

8 March 2017 6:26 AM, PST | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

After working closely with Roland Emmerich, producing Independence Day, Stargate, Godzilla, and more, producer Dean Devlin is in fitting territory with his directorial debut. Geostorm imagines a world where the climate is controlled by satellites, but things soon take a turn for the worse when technology goes awry, causing disaster across the globe.

The film, which will have begun shooting three years ago when it finally arrives this fall, reportedly recently had about $15 million worth of re-shoots under the direction of Judge Dredd helmer Danny Cannon and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Does it spell bad weather? Judging from the trailer, it looks to be VFX-heavy spectacle-driven adventure, but let’s just hope it’s not as brainless as Emmerich’s last film.

Starring Gerard Butler, Abbie Cornish, Alexandra Lara, Jim Sturgess, Amr Waked, Ed Harris and Andy García, check out the teaser below.

First Teasers For Gerard Butler’s Geostorm Tee Up A Global Catastrophe

7 March 2017 7:42 AM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Wonder Woman isn’t the only 2017 tentpole on the verge of unleashing a new trailer – Geostorm, the long-delayed disaster pic headed up by Gerard Butler, is currently in the process of drumming up excitement ahead of tomorrow’s big reveal.

Embedded below, you’ll find a barrage of blink-and-you’ll-miss them teasers designed to show the international scope of Skydance’s thriller – and make no mistake, this is cinematic destruction on a big, big scale. From a tidal wave inexplicably crashing into Dubai to a pool of lava spewing from Earth’s fractured crust, Geostorm looks set to take the concept of disaster porn and push it to a level not seen since Roland Emmrich’s 2012. Thankfully, the story doesn’t revolve around a bunch of neutrinos mutating; instead, Geostorm sees action veteran Gerard Butler go up against Mother Nature as he fights to “prevent climate-controlling satellites from creating a storm of epic proportions, »

The Sound of CBS’ Training Day: An Interview with Composer Jeff Cardoni

31 January 2017 4:05 PM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

We chat with composeer Jeff Cardoni about his work on CBS’ Training Day

CBS’ highly anticipated Training Day makes its debut this week in the coveted Thursday night 10pm slot. One of the main questions critics and fans are asking is how the show will be different from the 2001 Denzel Washington film which won him an Oscar. There are a few similarities between the two projects, the series picks up 15 years after the events of the feature film with new characters (and the same theme). Bill Paxton (Big Love) plays the morally ambiguous veteran detective (Washington’s role) while newcomer Justin Cornwell is the young idealistic cop assigned as his trainee (Hawke’s role).

Here, Det. Kyle Craig (Cornwell) joins the Special Investigation Section (Sis) on an undercover mission from deputy chief Joy Lockhart (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) to spy on Det. Frank Rourke (Paxton) and report back on his unorthodox tactics. »
