Take A Look: International Poster For Sylvester Stallone’s Bullet To The Head!

27 November 2012 10:55 AM, PST | Filmofilia | See recent Filmofilia news »

Well, this new international poster for Bullet To The Head definitely has a purpose – it will remind you not only that Sylvester Stallone stars in the whole thing, but that he’s playing a tough do-not-mess-with-me guy named Jimmy Bobo! Cool stuff. I’m definitely interested in Walter Hill‘s upcoming movie, so thank God it opens soon. I mean, if February is soon, then I’m totally cool…

But, let’s be honest, it’s not all about Stallone this time! The rest of the movie cast looks quite interesting as well, and includes Sung Kang, Sarah ShahiChristian SlaterAdewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Holt McCallany.

The movie is based on Alexis Nolent‘s graphic novel, and director Hill directed it from Alessandro Camon‘s script which centers on a New Orleans hitman and a DC cop who form an alliance to bring down the killers of their respective partners. »

New Trailer for Stallone's 'Bullet to the Head'

26 October 2012 3:29 PM, PDT | Rope of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news »

Looking at director Walter Hill's career I would have to say 48 Hrs. is the standout film, but he sure does have a rather varied selection of films he's tackled over the years from The Warriors to Arnold Schwarzenegger's Red Heat as well as his producing duties on the entirety of the Alien franchise, up to and including Prometheus. Now, in his first feature film in ten years, Hill returns to the big screen with Sylvester Stallone with Bullet to the Head as a second trailer has just arrived. Hill co-wrote the screenplay with Alessandro Camon, based on the graphic novel written by Matz and illustrated by Colin Wilson, it tells the story of a New Orleans hitman (Stallone) and a New York City cop who form an alliance to bring down the killers of their respective partners. Christian Slater, Jason Momoa, Sung Kang, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Jason Momoa co-star. »

More Sly Stallone Action in 'Bullet to the Head' International Trailer

28 September 2012 1:46 PM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

Around the time that The Expendables 2 came out, the first trailer for Sylvester Stallone's action thriller Bullet to the Head was released. Honestly, the film felt like a parody, but not in the way that The Expendables franchise delivers over-the-top action with cheesy jokes. Now an international trailer for the film from 48 Hrs. director Walter Hill has arrived. Jason Momoa plays the villain facing off against Sylvester Stallone this time, but I feel like this is going to be another disappointment for the actor as he continues to try and land a breakthrough role for the next phase of his career. However, I hope I'm wrong. Here's the international trailer for Walter Hill's Bullet to the Head from MSN UK: Video: Bullet To The Head: Exclusive trailer Bullet to the Head is directed by Walter Hill (The Warriors, 48 Hrs.) and written by Alessandro Camon (The Messenger »

Action-Heavy New Trailer for Sylvester Stallone’s Bullet to the Head

28 September 2012 11:30 AM, PDT | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

After topping box offices this summer with The Expendables 2, Sylvester Stallone will be back on the big screen in the New Year in Bullet to the Head, the big screen adaptation of Alexis Nolent’s original graphic novel.

The first trailer for the action thriller landed last month, and now a new trailer has debuted over at MSN, promising as much action as you’d expect from Stallone, still going strong at the age of 66.

“Based upon a Matz and Colin Wilson graphic novel, Stallone plays Jimmy Bobo, a hitman who teams with a young NYPD detective (Sung Kang) in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of New Orleans. The unlikely duo, brought together by two vicious murders, take on all who stand in their way, and are willing to sacrifice everything to exact revenge. »

First Trailer for Bullet to the Head with Sylvester Stallone

Back in December, we got two rather intense first images of Sylvester Stallone in the upcoming adaptation of the original graphic novel, Bullet to the Head.

Things have been pretty quiet since then, but with The Expendables 2 heading into theatres this weekend, it looks like now is the perfect time to take a look at Stallone’s next project, with IGN debuting the first trailer.

Bullet To The Head Trailer Arrives

16 August 2012 1:11 PM, PDT | EmpireOnline | See recent EmpireOnline news »

Anything Arnie can do, Sly can do, er, sweatier. It’s the battle of the old guys, old mates and old friendly rivals today as both the Expendables action legends have new trailers out. You may already have seen Schwarzenegger in the promo for The Last Stand (if not, rectify that here), but here comes Stallone with Bullet To The Head. Check out the first trailer below via IGN.Adapted from Alexis Nolent’s graphic novel Headshot, Bullet finds Sly as Jimmy Bob, a hit man enraged that his partner has been killed. Swearing revenge, he teams up with a cop (Sung Kang), who has also lost a colleague, to take down the big bad Keegan (Jason Momoa). Along the way, there are plenty of the expected brawls, bullets and blood spilling as Kang’s Taylor Kwon is endlessly shocked by Jimmy’s violent ways. But then, he is a hitman… »

Article by Dan Clark of Movie Revolt

Well it’s that time again, time for another installment of Streaming for Your Pleasure. With Memorial Day weekend upon us America is about to officially start the summer. Barbeques, beers, and beaches will surely take up much of our time this weekend, however let us not forget the purpose behind this day as we celebrate the glory that is a three day weekend. In all seriousness it is a time to honor our Veterans and current soldiers for the remarkable sacrifices they make. No matter what political stance you may take I feel that is one thing we can all get behind. With that in mind I dedicated this installment to all things military as I look at military centric films currently available on Netflix Streaming.

Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman Will Direct The Monkey Wrench Gang

7 May 2012 5:13 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Filmmakers Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (Catfish, Paranormal Activity 3) have signed on to direct The Monkey Wrench Gang for producer Edward R. Pressman.

The directors will adapt the 1975 novel by Edward Abbey, which centers on four men who battle against the development of their beloved desert in the American Southwest. While they attempt to sabotage construction sites, they vow never to harm another human being, animal, plant, or rock. Here's what the directors had to say about this project.

"We're excited and honored to turn this book into a movie. People often ask us why we work together and as Edward Abbey used to say, 'One man alone can be pretty dumb sometimes, but for real bona fide stupidity, there ain't nothin' can beat teamwork.'"

We reported way back in 2007 that Catherine Hardwicke was attached to direct, but she is no longer involved. Edward R. Pressman is producing alongside Gary Burden, »

‘Catfish’ Team Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman To Write, Helm ‘The Monkey Wrench Gang’

7 May 2012 11:07 AM, PDT | Deadline | See recent Deadline news »

Exclusive: Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, the team behind the 2010 Sundance Film Festival documentary Catfish and Paranormal Activity 3, will write and direct an adaptation of the Edward Abbey novel The Monkey Wrench Gang. The project has been set up by Edward R. Pressman, who is producing with Grammy-winning album cover artist Gary Burden. The producers have been tooling around with The Monkey Wrench Gang for about 15 years but feel they’ve now got the right filmmakers to see through a movie adaptation of the ’70s tale. Written in 1975, the novel follows a gang of four guys who try to battle over-development in the American West in the 70s. They do this with bumbling attempts at sabotage, attacking deserted bulldozers, construction equipment and trains, with a vow they will not harm a human, animal, plant or rock. Well, three of the quartet take that to heart; the fourth, a young Vietnam vet named Hayduke, »

News Nuggets: The film legacy of Adam Yauch

6 May 2012 9:19 AM, PDT | Gold Derby | See recent Gold Derby news »

A look at the film achievemens of the Beastie Boys' late Adam Yauch: "Yauch's creative reach was significant in the film world as well. And his tenure as a driving force behind indie distributor Oscilloscope Laboratories has ushered brave pick-ups and challenging cinematic material to the fore for the last four years or so. Awards success greeted a few of those titles. Most significant was a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Woody Harrelson as well as a Best Original Screenplay nomination for Alessandro Camon and Oren Moverman for 'The Messenger' in 2009, which itself flirted with the first-ever expanded Best Picture line-up during that season." In Contention Oscilloscope to attend Cannes despite Adam Yauch's death: "Dan Berger and David Laub, who just a day ago were promoted to jointly oversee marketing, distribution and acquisitions for the indie film company, will attend this month’s festival, Deadline has learned. »

Sylvester Stallone's 'Bullet To The Head' Pulled From Release Schedule

24 February 2012 9:26 AM, PST | MTV Splash Page | See recent MTV Splash Page news »

It turns out that Sylvester Stallone's "Bullet to the Head" won't be hitting theaters on April 13 after all. That weekend is stacked with big releases like "The Three Stooges" and "The Cabin in the Woods," so apparently Warner Bros has chosen to pull "Bullet" from that day and have it face off against some other competitors. The only question is when.

Unfortunately, that's a question that does not yet have an answer. Deadline had the news that Warner Bros has pulled "Bullet to the Head" from its release schedule, but gives no time frame for when it will return. Hopefully it will get another weekend around then -- perhaps April 20, where its only competition would be "The Lucky One" and "Lockout" -- but "Bullet" could always get bumped to way later in the year, or even beyond.

The movie is based on the French graphic novel of the same name, »

Oren Moverman’S “Rampart” — A Review

8 February 2012 4:44 AM, PST | Filmmaker Magazine - Blog | See recent Filmmaker Magazine news »

Rampart is a hard-slamming action film … a disturbing portrait of a goon gone-amok … a subtle investigation of a sensitive man … incisive dissection of a raging numbskull … shrewd portrayal of a terribly wounded soul. Rampart is a film of extremes and subtleties swiftly moving yet rich in detail. If not expertly crafted and intricately woven, Rampart would quickly implode.

Set in 1999 Los Angles, Rampart is about a dirty cop rushing into a train wreck with reality. The cynical and enraged 24-year Lapd veteran is locked in a whirlwind of events that rip him to his inevitable destination. If this sounds familiar, too familiar, no problem; Woody Harrelson (as Sergeant Dave Brown) takes us way beyond the cop-gone-nuts familiar with an extraordinary performance, one with an incredible range, from emotional nuances to brutal night-stick assault – from the goon to the sensitive to the raging to the caring.
