AFM: Altitude Boards Thriller ‘10×10,’ Starring Luke Evans

Altitude Film Sales has secured worldwide sales rights to “10×10,” starring Welsh actor Luke Evans, currently on screen with Emily Blunt in “The Girl on a Train” and soon to be seen in Bill Condon’s “Beauty and the Beast” with Emma Watson. “10×10” is from the creative team behind U.K. box-office hit “Brotherhood.”

Co-starring with Evans (“The Hobbit” trilogy, “Professor Marston & the Wonder Women”) is Kelly Reilly (“True Detective,” the “Sherlock Holmes” franchise), soon to be seen in the Sky TV drama series “Britannia,” by acclaimed playwright Jez Butterworth with his brother Tom Butterworth and Richard McBrien.

“10×10” is a contained cat-and-mouse thriller set in America. “Lewis is a seemingly ordinary guy but under the surface he hides a singular obsession — revenge — and the focus of his obsession is Cathy,” according to a statement. “In broad daylight, Lewis kidnaps Cathy and takes her to his home in the middle of nowhere. »

Britannia: Amazon and Sky Order Roman Army Drama Series

Amazon and Sky have given the greenlight to the new Britannia TV show, starring Kelly Reilly, David Morrissey, and Zoe Wanamaker. Britannia is set in 43Ad. The drama features the Roman Imperial Army which, Amazon says is "determined and terrified in equal measure, returns to crush the Celtic heart of Britannia, a mysterious land ruled by wild warrior women and powerful Druids who can channel the powerful forces of the underworld."The Britannia TV series, is currently in production, with an eye toward a 2017 premiere. Amazon, Sky Team on Jez Butterworth’s ‘Britannia,’ Starring Kelly Reilly

Amazon Prime Video in the U.S. and European pay-tv company Sky are partnering on a major original drama series, “Britannia,” the first co-production between the companies. The 10-part series has been written by Jez Butterworth, whose stage play “Jerusalem” won a Tony for Mark Rylance, and whose movie credits include “Spectre,” Johnny Depp’s “Black Mass” and Tom Cruise’s “Edge of Tomorrow.”

The series will star Kelly Reilly (“True Detective,” “Sherlock Holmes,” “Bastille Day”), David Morrissey (“The Walking Dead,” “The Hollow Crown”), Zoe Wanamaker (“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” “My Family”) and Stanley Weber (“Outlander”).
