At 19 Jane Bussmann began a newspaper column for Britain's Guardian, at 22 she was hired by the BBC as comedy writer of "off-the-cuff" quips for presenters and at 24 (with David Quantick) sold the BBC two sitcoms, "What On Earth", about two rabbits drafted into a war, and "Put Out More Fags" about two chain-smoking teenage mothers.
