Charles Busch is a writer in theater and writer of the film Psycho Beach Party (2000). He is famous for crossdressing in his films he appears in and theatrical presentations he does. Busch got a lot of attention in film and television work playing a prisoner named Nat Ginsberg for two seasons on HBO's Oz (1997).

David Drake (The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me (2000)) succeeded Busch in the roles the author himself created in "Vampire Lesbians of Sodom".
Was nominated for Broadway's 2001 Tony Award as author of Best Play nominee "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife."
Barbra Streisand expressed interest at one time in a film version of Charles Busch's play Tale of the Allergist's Wife".
