It’s that time of year to give thanks on ABC’s General Hospital — unless you’re name is Jason Morgan and you’re still reeling from what happened on your honeymoon. (Dang you, Franco!)

In this exclusive clip, the Quartermaines gets ready to cut to cut the turkey — until Steve Burton’s alter-ego realizes he can’t move on from his run-in with the mysterious artist and takes it out on the poor bird.

The episode airs Wednesday.

Kelly Monaco talks 'General Hospital' wedding and new show 'Dirty Soap'

23 September 2011 12:12 PM, PDT | EW - Inside TV | See recent EW.com - Inside TV news »

General Hospital’s Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) may have already said their vows on Thursday’s show, making it official at a Chinese food restaurant instead of at the big church wedding everyone else was planning to attend, but today is the day things really go down. “They wind up going back to the church where everyone is waiting, pissed off and angry. And they tell them, ‘Yeah, we did it. Deal with it,’” laughs Monaco. “Then they go off to the reception to have fun, while James Franco lurks and plans his next evil plot.”

General Hospital Scoop: Jason and Sam Will Wed, But 'Expect the Unexpected' – and Some Skin!

20 September 2011 10:23 AM, PDT | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

After years (and years) together, General Hospital‘s Jason and Sam will tie the knot this week (with the storyline culminating Friday, Sept. 23). Of course, this is Port Charles, and nothing in this upstate burg goes off without a hitch — or more often than not, a shootout.

TVLine spoke with daytime vets Kelly Monaco and Steve Burton about what fans can expect from the couple’s double set of I Dos (yes, there are two weddings!). And they told us to“Expect the unexpected.” After all, what would a wedding be without the reappearance of James Franco’s big bad, »

TVLine Items: Pompeo Game for More Grey's, Regis' Live Finale, Gh Wedding Peek, and More

Grey’s Anatomy fans, take heart: Ellen Pompeo — whom you know well and love as Seattle Grace’s Meredith Grey — has revealed that Season 8 of the ABC medical drama will not necessarily not be her last.

Talking to TV Guide Magazine, Pompeo opened up about the possibility of continuing with Grey’s beyond her contract’s expiration at the end of the upcoming season, saying, “I would love the opportunity to discuss it. I would never turn up my nose at Grey’s. As long as the stories are honest and truthful, and Patrick [Dempsey] and I feel there is material »

'General Hospital': Wedding bells ring for Jason and Sam -- Exclusive Photo

2 September 2011 3:32 PM, PDT | EW - Inside TV | See recent EW.com - Inside TV news »

Finally, a wedding we can talk about that doesn’t involve the words Kim and Kardashian: Jason (aka Steve Burton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) will make it official this month on ABC’s General Hospital. The nuptials will kick off in what we hear is a very unlikely setting beginning Sept. 19.

But the bride isn’t exactly dripping in Neil Lane jewelry in this exclusive photo. Why isn’t she donning the Vera Wang? Is Jason about to offer tickets to the gun show? And is that the officiant in the background or is Teddy Chen Culver just playing a creepy observer? »

Just when we thought Port Charles would be losing James Franco, we learn the shocking truth! E! News got hold of an exclusive photo which shows Franco on the set of General Hospital, and although we were hoping for a topless pic with the wind blowing through his brown curls as he gave us that heart-melting smile, we got this... Franco looking a little bit deranged with "blood" oozing out of mouth next to Steve Burton (psst...is that a ring on his finger?). Well, it is daytime drama...and that looks dramatic. So what's going on? Well, when the studly actor returns to ABC on Sept. 20, the plot will open with the psychotic artist Franco returning to Port Charles just as Jason »

'General Hospital': Who does accident-prone Jason think he is now? -- Exclusive Teaser

12 August 2011 1:04 PM, PDT | EW - Inside TV | See recent EW.com - Inside TV news »

Okay, someone really needs to keep Jason from getting behind the wheel of cars. Now that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) went and got himself into yet another auto accident on General Hospital, the women in his life (his mom, his ex, his fiancee — oy, there are so many!) are now dreaming of what life could have been, had his memory not been wiped clean in the first place.

This makes my head hurt. Clearly, I’m not alone: Check out Jason’s “injuries” in this action-packed promo:

General Hospital's Steve Burton on Jason's Life or Death Surgery

11 August 2011 7:13 AM, PDT | TVGuide - Breaking News | See recent TVGuide - Breaking News news »

The mother of all soap-amnesia plots — the woeful tale of Jason on General Hospital — is about to take a curious turn. Long story short: Back in 1995, rich, wholesome preppy Jason Quartermaine (played by Steve Burton) was left mentally damaged and memory-free after a car accident and split from his family to become underworld hit man Jason Morgan. Now he's been seriously injured in yet another crash and will require life-or-death brain surgery. During the intense procedure (airing August 26 and 29), the women in Jason's life — fiancée Sam (Kelly Monaco), mom Monica (Leslie Charleson), ex-lover Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Bff Carly (Laura Wright) — will fantasize about how their relationships ...

James Franco returns for 'long-term' arc on 'General Hospital'

25 July 2011 1:59 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Port Charles is the only burgh in the ABC daytime-verse not heading to the sprawling void of the Internet -- probably thanks in some small part to the love of one Oscar-nominated actor.

TVGuide reports that James Franco will return to "General Hospital" for his fourth stint as a guest since first heading to the series in Fall 2009.

Franco, who plays artist and serial killer Robert "Franco" Frank, returns to the series on Sep 20 for what is being described as a "long-term" arc.

But what does he have planned? Well, though Jason (Steve Burton) did swear to kill Franco on sight upon their next encounter, Franco cannot get enough of playing with the hit man. And Jason's upcoming nuptials to Sam (Kelly Monaco) won't likely go by unspoiled.

Other details leaked by ABC include that Franco's return marks his "most twisted plan yet" and that it will likely involve Maxie »

Film vet, performance artist and jack-of-all-trades James Franco is checking back in at ABC’s General Hospital — and this time for seemingly a long stretch.

Two Beloved Vets Return for One Life to Live‘s Broadcast Finale

Franco first dipped his toe into the daytime TV waters in November 2009, with a brief Gh arc as Robert “Franco” Frank, a serial killer-slash!-performance artist who wanted mob muscle Jason, bad. Franco has returned intermittently since, but starting Sept. 20 he is on board for a “longterm” story, TV Guide Magazine reports — and just as Jason (played by Steve Burton) is set to »

When I told Jonathan Jackson that he’d made me cry — twice! — with his performance as  a father whose child died on Monday’s General Hospital, he wasn’t exactly wracked with guilt about it.

“I sort of want to apologize but I’m not sure I should. It was kind of what we were going for,” says Jackson, who in 2009 returned to the character of Lucky Spencer, son of famed Luke and Laura, which he’d originated back in 1993.

James Franco is back on 'General Hospital' -- Video

Just in time for his Oscar hosting gig on ABC, James Franco will reprise his memorable role as that oh-so-mysterious artist on General Hospital beginning tomorrow. So why is “Franco” back in town? We’re told he shows up to remind Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) that he’s still around. Or maybe he had something to do with the big explosion that occurred after Sonny and Brenda’s wedding today.

Better yet, perhaps he’s just there to make a few meta jokes about his hosting the Academy Awards (notice the fancy duds he’s wearing in the clip) and »

Who Are The Best Actor Frontrunners for the Daytime Emmys?

19 February 2011 2:48 PM, PST | Hollywoodnews.com | See recent Hollywoodnews.com news »

By Matthew Cormier

HollywoodNews.com: Now that we know who is contending for a pre-nomination slot at the Daytime Emmy Awards, it’s time to take a closer look at each of the acting categories. The key to winning a Daytime Emmy is episode selection. To stand out amongst this group of industry legends, an actor will need to submit a tape that displays enough range and impact to make voters take notice. Good submissions are usually self-contained episodes showing a clear beginning, middle and end to a character’s emotional arc.

Best Actor has the potential to be a very competitive race as every show has to decide between multiple veteran performers. The frontrunners among these contenders are discussed below.

All My Children

David Canary (Ex-Adam Chandler)

Ricky Paull Goldin (Dr. Jake Martin)

Vincent Irizarry (Dr. David Hayward)

Michael E. Knight (Tad Martin)

Michael Nouri (Caleb Cooney)

James Franco returns to 'General Hospital,' makes plenty of phone calls

10 February 2011 4:50 PM, PST | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Oscar host and Oscar nominee James Franco still has time to return to "General Hospital," despite his full plate, and from the looks of these stills from his Feb. 25 episode, he'll be making a few important phone calls.

Performance artist "Franco" has been absent from Port Charles since August 2010, but his scheming has had a lingering effect. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was recently revealed to have been raped in prison -- possibly on Franco's orders -- so it there could be a phoned-in confession.

Here we see Jason (Steve Burton), presumably interrupting one of Franco's phone calls or some sort of television address from his desk. Notice the semi-nude self portrait in the background.

He's got his phone back! And it looks as though he's blocking another self-portrait, perfectly coordinated to his bowl of all-red M&Ms.

How many calls will Franco make during his "Gh" return? You'll have to wait until Feb. »
