Its the patriarch of the Cullen clan Im interested in Dr. Carlisle Cullen. Played by Peter Facinelli hes a former vampire hunter whose 16th century mission to rid the world of the scourge went terribly awry when he was turned into one himself. Now living among the humans in Forks Washington he makes his family of six lead a vegetarian lifestyle. That is they only feed on animals. And he himself only turns people into vampires when they would have died of natural causes. Edward for example would have tragically perished of Spanish influenza had Dr. Cullen not intervened.Hes kind of started a new way of life for vampires because most vampires they live off humans explains Facinelli in a telephone call. Hes the doctor in this small town living a secret life. And though his character is frozen in time at the age of 23 hes playing the dad. »

There's been a lot of worry and speculation on the boards lately, and I want to let you know what's going on.

First of all, like you, I'm sad that Catherine is not continuing on with us for New Moon. I'm going to miss her, not just as a brilliant director, but also as a friend. She has such a distinct, authentic voice that did amazing things for Twilight. I'm looking forward to every movie she does in the future.

And she didn't leave us empty handed. »

YoungHollywood.com recently sat down with Billy Burke who plays Charlie Swan in Twilight for a really great interview where he talked about working with Kristen Stewart how he got into character as her father and much more.nbspSOURCEThanks HugzI know I always say this but I love to hear from other members of the cast. I especially think Billy Burke is wonderful in interviews and was an amazing choice for the character of Charlie. I loved him and Kristen together they had a good connection but played the awkward relationship thing perfectly like how it was in the book. What did you think of this interview? Do you think Billy made a good Charlie? And what about him and Kristen did you think they had a good fatherdaughter connection? »

8 December 2008 12:10 PM, PST | iconsoffright.com | See recent Icons of Fright news »

Hot of the heels of the announcement that shooting on the Twilight sequel New Moon could begin as early as March of 2009, Variety reports that director Catherine Hardwicke will not be returning to helm the second feature. The following Variety piece explains all the details:

"In an unusual move after the successful launch of a franchise that has already generated $138.6 million, the upstart distrib (Summit Entertainment) is not bringing director Catherine Hardwicke back to direct New Moon. Summit and Hardwicke cite Summit's wish to rush the movie into production as one reason for their split. Summit wants to release the picture, which will demand substantial CGI work, by the end of 2009 or the start of 2010. A former production designer, Hardwicke wanted more prep time."

"Twilight" scripter Melissa Rosenberg handed in a draft of "New Moon" the weekend that "Twilight" opened. Hardwicke wanted more time to work on it; Summit announced »

She told the host, "A lot of the book takes place in Italy, and I think we're going to get to go to Italy, which is so cool. Twilight (2008) Movie Review

23 November 2008 8:00 PM, PST | MoviesOnline.ca | See recent MoviesOnline news »

I had to come home after seeing the movie on Friday and re-read the book to get the terrible images out of my head. Bad hair and makeup, terrible soundtrack, awful cinematography, and besides Kristen Stewart, Billy Burke and Rob Pattinson the rest of the cast is terrible! There is no way 'these' movie vampires could blend in with humans and go unnoticed in a small town like Forks, as they did in the book. They were too pale, too bug eyed and way too odd acting for it to even be plausible. I felt like I was laughing when I shouldn't have been and not nearly as emotional as I should have been »

Twilight (2008) Movie Review

23 November 2008 8:00 PM, PST | MoviesOnline.ca | See recent MoviesOnline news »

I saw Twilight twice over the weekend, each time with a person who hadn't read the book(s), and can happily report that, despite the film's sometimes glaring flaws, we all enjoyed it.The Pluses: -The casting was 50% spot-on, with Kristen Stewart as Bella, Billy Burke as Charlie, Kellan Lutz as Emmet Cullen and Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen all very well-cast, image-wise. The trio of "bad" vampires are adequate too. As a fan of the book series, I had serious doubts about Robert Pattinson as Edward before the film was released, but I was very happy to be proven wrong -- as the heart of the film »

The "Twilight" Review. Action takes a back seat to the love affair.

20 November 2008 10:19 PM, PST | Upcoming-Movies.com | See recent Upcoming-Movies.com news »

The squeals you may hear from the movie theaters this weekend probably will be coming from the screens that show “Twilight”. “Twilight” is a very popular young adult novel that has so far yielded three sequels from author Stephenie Meyer.Teenage girls were the target audience for the books and most assuredly for this movie. Bella (Kristen Stewart) is a shy teenage girl who goes from the sunny land of Phoenix to the rainy existence of Forks, Washington. The population is just over 3000. Her mother is traveling with her new husband to spring training where he is a minor league baseball player. Bella would rather pass on this experience and chooses to live with her father (Billy Burke) in Forks. Her father is the Chief of Police and like Bella has trouble expressing himself. »
