The second season of Stranger Things looks set to be bigger and better (if that’s at all possible) than the first judging from the ‘Thriller’ trailer released this past weekend at San Diego Comic Con.

Set to Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and transporting us right back to the early 80’s, the chills ensue almost instantly as our returning cast are not only haunted by the events from season 1 but something even sinister seems to be plaguing the group of youngsters as their everyday lives are turned upside down. A respectful nod to the classic Ghostbusters can be seen as the group decide to take matters into their own hands. If you don’t get chills watching the trailer below, you have to be made of stone.

The Upside Down is coming up from below! Netflix has today announced some new details on their hugely-anticipated release of the second season of Stranger Things, which is coming this Halloween. Scroll down for a brand new poster, Twitter tease, and a new synopsis.

After the events of Season One came to a conclusion, Will had returned to his mother (Winona Ryder) but wasn’t himself. Now it seems something has followed him back from the Upside Down and is intent on brings doom and destruction to the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana. And what of Eleven? Having “vanished” after the encounter with the demagorgon, will she be the same if she survived the attack?

In amongst all of the amazing shows coming in 2017, both on network/terrestrial channels and on subscription services, nothing has got us here at HeyUGuys HQ as excited as the return of our favourite show: Stranger Things. As lovers of all things 80s, we immediately fell in love with the series and cannot wait until Halloween when the show returns for its hugely anticipated sophomore series.

We have only seen small glimpses of what is to come, in pictures and in the show’s teaser trailer, but some new info on the show has been revealed in the last few days with the cast speaking to People about what can be expected from the show. Netflix made a surprise entry in the long list of debuting TV spots during last night’s Super Bowl broadcast Stateside. The streamer debut a new look at season two of their very popular supernatural drama Stranger Things, which you can watch in the player below.

Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, and Matthew Modine all return fro the new series, along with Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Dacre Montgomery, Sadie Sink, Linnea Berthelsen and Brett Gelman.

A year after Will’s return, everything seems back to normal… but a darkness lurks just beneath the surface, threatening all of Hawkins.

Screen Actors Guild awards winners in full

Last night over in Hollywood, the 2017 Screen Actors Guild awards were dished out. The awards were fairly spread out – Denzel Washington picked up the Male Actor award for Fences, while Emma Stone was awarded the Female Actor gong for La La Land. Mahershala Ali won Supporting Actor for Moonlight, while Viola Davis won Supporting Female Actor for Fences.

The Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture went to the cast of true story Hidden Figures, while Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series went to Netflix’s Stranger Things.

John Lithgow and Claire Foy picked up the two main awards in the drama TV lead categories for The Crown, while William H.
