For those of you who appreciates “Empire’s” status in the world of sci-fi, here are some fantastic behind-the-scenes pictures from the movie via Vanity Fair. Out this month, the slick coffee-table tome The Making of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back chronicles the complete tale—from pre-release to blockbuster success—of what’s become the fan favorite of the Star Wars series. Invasion Cork kicks off on Saturday at 10am. The location of this epic Star Wars event is at the Live at The Marquee site, so plenty of car spaces available to boot! Ahead of the Invasion, Jeremy Bulloch was kind enough to pop into studio for over half an hour. Podcast of the interview will go out this weekend, more than likely on Sunday night. Lots of you got a kick out of it and I was certainly in my element, more so than usual! One of the most iconic Star Wars characters of all time, was an incredibly nice guy and so accommodating. An absolute gent!

Jon Stewart, a long time Star Wars fan, will be interviewing George Lucas for one hour at Star Wars Celebration V in Orlando, Florida, Aug. 12-15. The conversation, dubbed The Main Event, will cover the history of the franchise with some great random questions by Stewart. All I can say about this is…finally, a reason to attend.
If you missed Lucas’ appearance on The Daily Show back in January, it was epic. That’s because Stewart actually put Lucas on the spot and asked him questions like how does it feel to piss off a whole generation of fans and do you still believe you’re as creative as you used to be? Trust me, when you’re speaking to someone really famous and loved by millions, it’s very hard to ask a hard hitting question. For more on the convention, including how to submit your own questions for Stewart to ask, »
