Read Inbetweeners' James Buckley's application for Crystal Palace job

21 hours ago | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - Movie News news »

Crystal Palace's search for a new manager might be getting quite desperate, but things would have to be looking very bad if they were to take into consideration actor James Buckley's spoof application for the job, under the guise of Jay from The Inbetweeners.

Buckley posted the comedy application on his Twitter page and even managed to get a response from Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish.

Jay's email on the application reads "mrbignob@hotmail.co.uk", and it also lists all his many footballing successes down the years on the computer games Football Manager and Championship Manager.

He also claims to have been educated by Richard Branson "in a balloon" and to have the ability to "drink more than 10 pints of cider and still drive safely".

The application also jokes that he launched a business with football star Rio Ferdinand - Jay & Rio's Pussay Patrol Car Stereos.

First trailer and poster for The Pyramid

Archaeologists gibber in fear in the first trailer and poster for the found-footage horror, The Pyramid...

This week sees the UK release of As Above, So Below - the found-footage horror which takes place in ancient catacombs beneath the streets of Paris. Well, here's another verite-style genre film that looks a bit like a grown-up reunion for The Goonies.

Directed by Gregory Levasseur, the co-writer of the exceedingly violent film High Tension (known as Switchblade Romance in some areas), The Pyramid sees a group of archaeologists discover and enter an ancient Egyptian tomb. There, they're terrorised by a series of traps, unexpected falls and half-seen things scurrying about in the shadows.

Levasseur's High Tension co-writer Alexandre Aja (and director of the Hills Have Eyes remake) is producing, while the cast includes Ashley Hinshaw, James Buckley and Denis O'Hare. The first trailer has plenty of spooky moments, and the poster - »

Trailer for The Pyramid

26 August 2014 4:55 PM, PDT | www.themoviebit.com | See recent TheMovieBit news »

It seems every second horror movie these days ends up been found footage, but at least The Pyramid is shaking things up somewhat by setting all the creepy goings on in, you guessed it, a pyramid. The below trailer has a lot of great moments in it, as a group of archeologists foolishly enter a newly discovered pyramid, and are soon picked off one by one. To me, it comes off as horror version of The Mummy. And yes, that is The Inbetweeners' James Buckley as a member of the ill fated exhibition. Released: 5th December »

The Pyramid Trailer: Denis O’Hare vs. The Curse of the Pharaohs

26 August 2014 10:22 AM, PDT | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Before anyone dismisses The Pyramid because it’s yet another found footage horror film, hear me out.  It’s the feature directorial debut for Grégory Levasseur, the guy who wrote High Tension and the remakes of The Hills Have Eyes and Maniac, it’s produced by Alexandre Aja and it stars Denis O’Hare, Ashley Hinshaw and James Buckley.  See?  How can you have a team like that and not have some serious potential? To further prove the point, the very first trailer for the film just hit and it’s far stronger than you might expect.  Hit the jump to check out The Pyramid trailer for yourself.  The film is due in theaters on December 5th. The newspaper clippings and Texas Chainsaw knockoff narration aren’t a particularly engaging way to start this promo off, probably because it feels a bit hokey and the imagery is too busy to »

See The Inbetweeners 2 cast learn how to shear sheep in funny pictures

13 August 2014 5:26 AM, PDT | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - Movie News news »

The Inbetweeners cast were pictured posing awkwardly with livestock while being taught how to shear sheep as part of the Royal Queensland Show in Australia today (August 13).

The stars of the comedy sequel, which earned more than £12.5 million across the UK during its first weekend, made special guest appearances at the annual agricultural show during their visit to the Rna Showgrounds in Brisbane.

Blake Harrison, Simon Bird, James Buckley and Joe Thomas all wore plaid shirts under blue overalls at the Ekka event and chatted with the Premier of Queensland, Campbell Newman.

Harrison, who stars as the slightly gormless Neil in the TV-to-film spinoff, really got stuck in and smiled for photographers as he completed his shearing.

The Inbetweeners 2 reunites the boys on a holiday during Jay's (Buckley) gap year to Australia. The movie also stars Emily Berrington and Freddie Stroma.
