The New Trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road Is Like Burning Man Gone Wrong

10 December 2014 12:30 PM, PST | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

As Lindsey Buckingham never said, "It's a long way down Fury Road." The new Mad Max reboot has been described as "practically a feature-length chase scene," and that's certainly the case for the film's newest trailer, which is basically 100 percent crazy guys driving crazy convoys around a crazy desert. Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron are the main actors, but we can all agree that the real star is whoever was in charge of making all those cars explode. »

Stevie Nicks: Still Going Her Own Way

6 December 2014 11:00 AM, PST | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

Stevie Nicks became a high priestess of rock in the 1970s - and although she's been famous ever since, the mystical singer with the husky voice still has a soft spot for that era. Case in point: In the middle of a chat in her New York City hotel room, Nicks, 66, leaps up from her chair to demonstrate an indelible dance from the disco years."The Lady Gaga song Do What U Want makes me want to dance and made me revise the Hustle," she says, taking off her sunglasses, tossing her blonde mane and sliding side to side. 3 On 3: The best songs of Fleetwood Mac... and Christine McVie vs. Stevie Nicks

3 October 2014 5:51 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Last night, Fleetwood Mac kicked off their reunion tour. No, not last year's reunion. Or those other ones. This stint actually features Christine McVie for the first time since 1998, the singer/keyboardist being the last piece of the puzzle that brings together one of the most iconic lineups in Fleetwood Mac history, circa "Rumours." The band is apparently planning on recording another album together, though it can't be expected until next year at the earliest. But this makes us think through almost two dozen studio albums, starting with 1968's (first) self-titled set through 2003's "Say You Will." (Many of those are pre-Lindsey Buckingham/Stevie Nicks, but give that first album, "English Rose," and "Then Play On" a spin, if you only know "Rumours" or haven't given the rest a fair shake.) Three HitFix teamers share our thoughts on the Mac Attack, including the ultimate showdown: McVie or Nicks? And »

Toronto 2014 Review: Kevin Smith's Tusk Gleefully Plays By Its Own Rules

8 September 2014 2:00 PM, PDT | Twitch | See recent Twitch news »

"Why don't you ask him if he's going to stay? Why don't you ask him if he's going away? Why don't you tell me what's going on?" - Tusk, Fleetwood Mac Kevin Smith is many things to many people - stoner disciple, prurient podcaster, agitprop commentator, guerilla filmmaker. Yet at its heart the phenomena surrounding this larger-than-life cult figure boils down to one cause - Smith, above all, is a story teller. Go back to Clerks and you'll see the nascence of his Kibbitz-fueled cinema. The camera is plopped on a couple of characters that talk of (in Smith's words) "pussy and Star Wars", the entertainment derived from the freedom found when a bunch of people just shoot the shit about a given topic....

Listen to Stevie Nicks' confessional new tune, 'The Dealer'

6 August 2014 10:11 AM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Stevie Nicks knows when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em. In “The Dealer,” the first single from her new album “24 Karat Gold — Songs From The Vault,” Nicks fires a warning shot to her current lover as she details her wanton past:  “If I’d really known you then/You’d had to watch out.” In the mid-tempo track, she compares her love life to a card game where she is fully in charge: “I was the mistress of my fate, I was the card shark,” as she looks back with wisdom she didn’t have at the time. “24 Karat Gold,” out Oct. 7, contains previously unreleased songs written by Nicks between 1969 and 1995. “The Dealer” was written around 1979, according to Rolling Stone, initially for Fleetwood Mac’s “Tusk” album. Each song is a love story,” Nicks said in a statement.  “They represent my life behind the scenes, the secrets, the broken hearts, »

Ghostbusters 30th anniversary: 30 things you never knew

8 June 2014 1:00 AM, PDT | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - Movie News news »

Ghostbusters, the comedy classic that spawned a hit single, a sequel, a cartoon series and inspiration for countless fancy dress parties, celebrates its 30th anniversary today (June 8).

While we patiently wait for the long-in-development Ghostbusters 3, here are 30 things you may or may not now about the 1984 movie.

1. In the early '80s, Dan Aykroyd read an article on quantum physics and parapsychology in The Journal of the American Society for Psychical Research. That, coupled with his family's long-standing interest in the paranormal, served as the catalyst for Ghostbusters.

2. Speaking of Aykroyd's family, his great grandfather was a psychic investigator, his grandfather an engineer who created a high-vibration crystal radio to contact the spirit world and his father kept a substantial library of books on the paranormal.

3. The first script drafts of Ghostbusters focused on three characters who battled ghouls with wands instead of proton packs, while the action took »

Stevie Nicks talks Fleetwood Mac reunion

14 May 2014 11:32 AM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Beverly Hills, Calif. (AP) — Stevie Nicks thought former bandmate Christine McVie was joking when she told her that she wanted to go on tour with Fleetwood Mac last year. "I'm like, 'Well, you've convinced us over 16 years that you were never coming back. You finally, actually convinced us. So, are you kidding?'" Nicks said. McVie was serious. And Fleetwood Mac is finally back to its most successful configuration, which also includes Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood and Christine's ex-husband John McVie, who was treated for cancer last year. Their 33-city tour, "On With the Show," starts Sept. 30 in Minneapolis. McVie, 70, last toured with the band in 1998. "And I said, 'Well, Chris, have you seen us in concert lately? Because you should see us, because it's very physical," Nicks said. "It's almost three hours, and you kind of have to be an athlete. So, get a trainer.' And she did! »

Miley Cyrus Gets a "Big Ass Wet Kiss" From Mary Jane, Apologizes to Fans for Canceled Concert

Nothing like a little puppy love to make Miley Cyrus' morning. The singer took to Twitter on Thursday to post a photo where she's sharing a smooch with her pooch Mary Jane, and clearly, she's enjoying the "f--king big ass wet kiss," as she wrote in the caption. The lick full of love courtesy of her very important pet is much needed gesture for Cyrus, who has been in mourning following the recent death of her dog Floyd, which left the singer completely "broken." Floyd's passing occurred in the midst of the singer's Bangerz tour, and despite dealing with his death, the performer pressed on last week, opting to sing a rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" in »

Jimmy Fallon Dresses Up As Tom Petty, Sings With Stevie Nicks!

Talk about one awesome duet! Stevie Nicks stopped by Wednesday's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," where the two put on one hell of performance recreating Nicks and Tom Petty's music video for "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around."Check out their incredible cover above! We gotta say, Jimmy can actually hold his own singing next to the legendary Fleetwood Mac artist (who always sounds on point). Of course he's got nothing on Petty, but it was definitely a great tribute. It's also pretty awesome that the late night host recruited Nirvana's Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic to introduce the performance! And can we talk about Fallon's blonde wig -- the hairstyle's not bad on the comedian, right? What do you think of Stevie and Jimmy's re-creation of the classic 1981 music video? Tell toofab in the comment section below! And for fun, check out the original video with Nicks and Petty below! »

Miley Cyrus Sings 'Can't Be Tamed' To Inflatable Replica Of Late Dog

6 April 2014 9:00 PM, PDT | Uinterview | See recent Uinterview news »

Miley Cyrus serenated an inflatable dog meant to look like her recently departed dog Floyd with track “Can’t Be Tamed” during her concert Saturday night.

Cyrus, whose beloved dog died on April 1, decided to perform a tribute to him while performing at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center over the weekend. "That was the hardest song of the night to do," Cyrus told the audience about the number. “As y'all know, because I lost my Floydy this week. … Sometimes I just can't stop from breaking down crying."

The larger-than-life Floydy also made an appearance during Cyrus’s stop in Boston on April 3. Instead of “Can’t Be Tamed,” she dedicated Fleetwood Mac’s "Landslide" to Floyd. She told the audience, “I just want to do a song for him. We used to always listen to Fleetwood Mac together. This is his favorite song… so I wanna do this song for Floyd. »
