Louis Walsh claims Simon Cowell's return to 'The X Factor' has ''upped everyone's game''. The 62-year-old star claims the music mogul's return to the ITV talent show's judging panel after a three year absence has meant everyone - including his fellow judges Mel B and Cheryl Fernandez Versini - have had no time for slacking. Louis said: ''I think he's going to be different, I think he's going to be fun, I think there's going to be sparks between him, Cheryl and Mel B. ''That's the best thing about the show - Simon being back. Having him here is exciting. ''When he's around everyone »

Why Did the MTV Video Music Awards Feel So Unhip?

25 August 2014 11:07 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

If the MTV Video Music Awards looked boring on TV, it was even worse watching the show in person. Sunday night’s ceremony was held at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., a venue so monstrous not even Taylor Swift could fill all the seats. Unlike most concerts, there weren’t any TV screens in the venue that broadcast the performances live, which is why crowds kept looking restless when the camera cut to them. It was hard to see what was happening.

At every commercial break, a VMAs stage manager with a bullhorn would bark at the fans on the ground floor to move as the clunky sets weaved around them. There was a smattering of boos when Miley Cyrus tried to make a political statement by sending a homeless man onstage to accept her Moonman trophy for Video of the Year. When Beyonce finally delivered her showstopper finale, half »

X Factor: Is Tulisa Contostavlos filming for Judges' Houses in Bermuda?

22 August 2014 2:55 AM, PDT | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - TV news news »

A bikini-clad Tulisa Contostavlos was pictured on a beach in Bermuda, reportedly filming for the judges' houses segment for the new series of The X Factor yesterday (August 20).

It's recently been rumoured that the former ITV talent show judge - who was replaced on the panel by Sharon Osbourne in 2013 - would be returning as Louis Walsh's guest mentor.

Walsh is believed to be currently shooting the Judges' Houses stage of the competition in the Somers Isles, and Contostavlos was seen sporting a white bikini while being instructed by a film crew.

Walsh recently said that he would welcome Tulisa back to the show, saying: "She's rough around the edges but she's a good girl. I like her. I definitely would have her at Judges' Houses. She'll bounce back."

Contostavlos has been in court twice this year, firstly after she was accused of brokering a deal to supply Class »

Your Favorite Female Pop Stars’ Worst Big Screen Debuts

15 August 2014 6:18 AM, PDT | VH1.com | See recent VH1.com news »

When it comes to music, these girls have it all. They can sing. They can dance. And they can act — err, wait a minute on the last one. Sadly, a powerful voice, a magnetic personality in interviews, or killer dance moves in music videos doesn’t mean a pop star has what it takes to be an actress. With practice, some do get better. But if their big screen debuts are any precursor, some of them better stick to their main gig and leave the acting to the professionals.

Check out the 10 worst big screen debuts from your favorite female pop stars, including Britney Spears, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift. (Oh yeah, the latter is making her return to the big screen in The Giver, co-starring Meryl Streep, in theaters this weekend.)

Given that so many singers make cameos and small, often uncredited appearances in films, we limited the big screen »

Simon Pegg interview: Hector, British film, blockbusters

13 August 2014 6:54 AM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Simon Pegg tries to find the secret to happiness in his latest film. He chats to us about its making, British cinema and more...

Simon Pegg is back in cinemas this week, in Peter Chelsom's Hector And The Search For Happiness. Ahead of that, the man himself sat down with us for a chat, that led to us - genuinely - being locked in a hotel room together for a minute or two.

It was not helped by us holding a packet of Love Hearts at the time. It's probably best you don't ask.

Anyway, we kept our professional composure, and this is what happened...

Given what a globetrotting movie this one is, how are your passport stamps looking?

It's ridiculously stamped now!

Did you film any of it in Liam Neeson's fake plane from Non-Stop? That would have made it easier.

We were working out how long »

Best of Late Night TV: Megan Fox Plays Pictionary, Chloe Grace Moretz Talks 'If I Stay' Fans (Video)

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" star Megan Fox stopped by "The Tonight Show" and played some Pictionary with host Jimmy Fallon and fellow guests Nick Cannon and Wiz Khalifa (who performs the "Turtles" theme song). Partners Fox and Cannon got off to a rough start, missing their first two attempts at illustrating phrases, while Fallon and Khalifa seemed in sync -- until they got the item "Corn Dog." Fox and Cannon ultimately reigned supreme in the game, though Khalifa's Wtf-worthy attempt at drawing a dog was the real winner.

Cannon chatted with Fallon about his gig hosting "America's Got Talent," and discussed a prank he pulled on judges Howie Mandel, »
