The third season of Screentime.s ABC drama Janet King, starring Marta Dusseldorp, goes into production this week.

Joining the established cast of Damian Walshe-Howling, Peter Kowitz, Christopher Morris, Andrea Demetriades, Anita Hegh and Hamish Michael for the third instalment will be Don Hany, Robert Mammone, Susie Porter, Andrew Ryan, Huw Higginson, John Bach, Steve Le Marquand, Arka Das and Adam Demos.

This season, Janet will confront .a hornet.s nest of illegal gambling, organised crime and money laundering, while investigating the tragic death of a young sports star..

Written by Greg Haddrick, Felicity Packard, and Niki Aken with Alexa Wyatt as writer/script producer, the season will be directed by Peter Andrikidis, Grant Brown and Catherine Millar.

Janet King is produced by Karl Zwicky and Lisa Scott with Hilary Bonney and Marta Dusseldrop as associate producers. Screentime.s Haddrick, ABC.s Sally Riley and Kym Goldsworthy are executive producers. »

Screen Nsw stumps up over $2 million for 16 projects

The Nsw Government has invested over $2 million to secure four new feature films, four television drama series and four factual TV series, as well as several one-off documentaries, a web series and a multiplatform project. The productions are predicted to create 1080 new screen jobs and generate a direct production spend of almost $35 million in Nsw. Included among them is Ten.s recently announced mini-series Wake In Fright, the first local production to be supported under the Screen Nsw.s $20 million Made in Nsw Fund. The other 15 productions are being supported through the Film Production Finance Fund. According to Deputy Premier and Minister for the Arts Troy Grant the fund can now support many more local film and television productions because funds have been freed-up by the Made in Nsw Fund. Goodrem will play Izzy Dreyfus, the new reading recovery teacher at Nepean South Primary School.

House Husbands season five begins filming in Melbourne this week.

Gary Sweet, Firass Dirani, Rhys Muldoon, Julia Morris, Natalie Saleeba, Jane Allsop, Louise Siversen and Denise Scott are all back, and will be joined by Packed to the Rafters alum Hugh Sheridan.

Sheridan will play Nick Gazecki, a music teacher who makes an enemy of his new neighbour Lewis (Sweet).

Other new additions include Roy Billing and Australian musical theatre legend Nancye Hayes.

Redenbach will work with director David Caesar, who is directing two episodes..

Lucy Gaffy wins director's attachment on Cjz drama Bond

Emerging Australian director Lucy Gaffy has been selected as the director's attachment on upcoming Cjz TV drama Bond.

Gaffy, who has directed shorts including Dream Baby, The Gift, The Fence and The Love Song of Iskra Prufrock, will be attached to feature film and TV drama director Mark Joffe on Bond, which is currently in pre-production..

The industry incentive program is funded by Screen Australia and managed by the Adg for emerging directors to develop their craft.

Gaffy said she was excited to work with a filmmaker like Mark Joffe, "a storyteller whom I have so long admired - and deeply grateful to Kingston, Franky and all the marvellous team at the Adg for their continued support of emerging directors."

Gaffy is a Masters graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School (Aftrs)..
