Oscar Brown Jr. was born on October 10, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, USA as Jr. Oscar Cicero Brown. He was an actor, known for Priceless (2006), 13th (2016) and Knightriders (1981). He was married to Jean Pace, Maxine Fleming and Irene E. Hebert. He died on May 29, 2005 in Chicago.

Has seven children from two marriages.
Son Oscar III (nicknamed Bobo), an accomplished bassist, died in an car accident on the Outer Drive expressway in Chicago in August 1996.
Daughter Maggie is a popular vocalist performing in the Chicago area.
Wife Jean Pace is the older sister of actress Judy Pace.
A jazz vocalist and lyricist, he wrote lyrics to the melodies to "Work Song" and "Dat Dere", written by Bobby Timmons and Nat Adderley, respectively, and made famous by Cannonball Adderley.
Nina Simone was moved by Brown's first album, "Sin and Soul... and Then Some", and covered "Rags and Old Iron", "Work Song" and "Forbidden Fruit" on her album, "Forbidden Fruit", and covered "Brown Baby" on "Nina at the Village Gate" (both Colpix albums).
