Songwriter ("Johnny Angel"), conductor, author and producer, educated at the Chicago Musical College, the Chicago College of Music, DePaul University and NYU. At 14, he conducted his first orchestra, and later conducted orchestras for radio and television programs. Joining ASCAP in 1950, he wrote and produced night club acts for Jaye P. Morgan, Robert Goulet, Gordon MacRae, and Sheila MacRae, Steven Lawrence and Eydie Gormé, Kate Smith, Sophie Tucker, Arlene Dahl, Jane Morgan, Marguerite Piazza, and others, and formed a partnership with Lyn Duddy. His song compositions include "The Clock Song," "Five Guys Named Moe," "Without You," and "Hush-A-Bye Baby".
