Sam Breach

Born and raised in Bristol in England's west country, Sam Breach is a
3D visual FX artist with professional experience in the field of 3d
Animation since 1988 when she attained a First Class BA Honours degree
in Communication and Media Production from Bournemouth University,
England. Her media career diversified for a short while in the early
1990s when she edited a magazine on how to win consumer competitions
and also appeared every week on Channel 4's 'The Big Breakfast' as
Guest Competition Expert with Paula Yates. She also wrote a competition
column for the UK's Daily Mail newspaper. Until Summer 1999, Breach was
Head of 3D Animation at VTR's 'The Film Factory' where visual effects
for Lost In Space, Virtual Sexuality and Deep Blue Sea were completed.
She spent the next two years as a freelance 3d Specialist in Europe and
worked on the pitch for a new CG TV series called 'Johnny Pumpkin' with
Seven Worldwide, a modern-day version of 'Cinderella' directed by Bafta
winner Beeban Kidron for showing on the UK's Channel 4 on New Years Day
2000, on a Captain Scarlet pilot with Gerry Anderson, on pre-vis for
the first Harry Potter Movie and also the first Lara Croft movie at
Leavesden and Pinewood studios respectively. Breach spent a month in
Gothenburg Sweden working on a promotional film for Volvo Cars too. In
January 2001 Breach moved to Northern California to work for George
Lucas's "Industrial Light and Magic" Visual FX Company as a Technical
Director. She has since cross trained as a Compositor and is able to
provide her services as either depending on the demands of the
production.
