- Julius Brandt was born on March 5, 1873 in Olmütz, Moravia, Austria-Hungary [now Olomouc, Czech Republic]. He was an actor and director, known for Bohème - Künstlerliebe (1923), Spuk im Museum (1938) and Das Geheimnis des Abbe X (1927). He died on December 26, 1949 in Vienna, Austria.
- Veteran Austrian character actor, on stage from 1890. In films from 1912, with occasional forays into writing and directing. Mostly used for supporting roles, with the exception of a starring role in Haydns letzter Besucher (1939).
- The sound movie didn't constitute a problem for the experiences theater actor and he continued his successful career with Alfred Hitchcock's "Mary - Sir John greift ein!" (1930).
