Veteran British comic actor Felix Bowness has died, aged 87.
The performer, best known for his run as former jockey Fred Quilly in classic U.K. sitcom Hi-de-Hi, passed away at his home earlier this month.
Starting out in 1960s comedy The Benny Hill Show, Bowness quickly became the warm-up man for some of the U.K.'s most famous entertainers, including Morecambe and Wise, The Two Ronnies and Sir Terry Wogan.
He also appeared in several other TV comedies, including You Rang, M'Lord? and Oh, Doctor.

Hi-de-Hi! star Felix Bowness has died at the age of 87, reports the BBC. Bowness, whose other TV credits included You Rang, M'Lord? and Oh, Doctor Beeching!, appeared in all 58 episodes of the popular holiday resort sitcom as ex-jockey Fred Quilly.
