In 1987, won two Tony Awards for "Les Misérables" in collaboration with Claude-Michel Schönberg: as Best Book (Musical), and, also with additional lyricist-collaborator Herbert Kretzmer, as Best Score. In 1991, he was also twice Tony-nominated with collaborator Schö'berg: as Best Book (Musical) and, also with additional lyricist-collaborator 'Richard Maltby, Jr.', for "Miss Saigon." See more »
