Personal Details

Other Works:

In 1972, he co-produced and wrote the teleplay for an unsold sitcom pilot called "The Bear and I" which starred Soupy Sales as a kiddie-show host and Janos Prohaska as the titular ursine character whom almost everyone thinks is a guy in a fur suit, but Soupy knows is really a talking bear.

Personal Quote:

[on working on the 'Juliette' show'for the CBC]: Working with Juliette prepared me for working with the Smothers Brothers or Sonny and Cher. They knew who they were and Julie knew who she was. Julie would say 'Allan, I'm willing to let you color me and shade me, but I can't lose who I am.'
