The Star Wars Rebels Comic-Con Panel will feature executive producesr Dave Filoni and Simon Kinberg, the latter of whom has yet to make a Con appearance to promote the show. Voice talent Freddie Prinze, Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar, and Taylor Gray will also be on hand to discuss their characters.
The panel promises "several exclusive premieres," though what those are we won't know until the event goes down. With Comic-Con 2014 just a few weeks away, many fans thought San Diego would be the first place footage or full-costumed cast photos from Star Wars: Episode VII would debut, even though director J.J. Abrams is currently in the midst production. Sadly, today, Disney and LucasFilm confirmed their Comic-Con plans, which included a brief statement confirming that Star Wars: Episode VII will not be featured in any way at the con.
"With Star Wars: Episode VII creators deep in production in anticipation of the film's December 18, 2015, release, Lucasfilm will not be featuring the movie at Sdcc."

Walt Disney World’s Star Wars Weekends 2014 has officially begun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today. I've never been able to attend one of these weekends, but it looks like it would be a ridiculous amount of fun.
For those of you like me who won't be able to attend the event any time soon, we have a video of the Star Wars parade for you to watch. It comes to us from Attraction Magazine, who was there for the opening day festivities.
The parade includes special Star Wars guest celebrities such as Ahmed Best (Jar Jar Binks) Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Vanessa Marshall (Hera Syndulla — Star Wars Rebels), James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi — Clone Wars) and a bunch of Star Wars costumed characters. They even included three new characters from the upcoming Star Wars Rebels animated series! Those characters were Chopper, Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger.
I'll be honest, I'm not a big parade guy. »

A few days back some merchandising material for Star Wars Rebels suggested that we’d be seeing Obi-Wan Ben Kenobi as a character in the upcoming in-canon animated series, which was followed by rumours that Billy Dee Williams has also done some voice work as Lando Calrissian. Well, we now we have confirmation from Rebels co-creator Simon Kinberg that the show will feature some familiar faces from the Original Trilogy, with the executive producer sharing his thoughts about writing such iconic characters with Collider…
“Writing dialogue for any of the legacy characters is as big a thrill as anything I’ve ever had in my life. I said this to [producer Kathleen Kennedy] that when I open up a Final Draft document, and I tab over to “Character” and it’s a character from the original films—to be nameless until people see them—but if it’s »

Happy Star Wars Day, everyone! In celebration of May the Fourth, the first full-length trailer for the upcoming animated series, Star Wars Rebels has been released. For those who don’t know, the show takes place between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, and examines the rise of the Rebel Alliance against the newly formed Galactic Empire.
The show will air on Disney Xd in the fall, and though it comes from Dave Filoni, the executive producer on the excellent Star Wars: The Clone Wars, it appears that Rebels aims for a bit of a younger audience.
The animation style is similar to what we saw in The Clone Wars, but not quite as polished, and the characters are all geared more towards children than diehard adult Star Wars fans. We’ve got the young street-rat Ezra (voiced by Taylor Gray), the pink-helmeted Mandalorian »
