PJ Bloom works in the Music Industry. In 2012 alone he placed No.80 on Billboard Magazine's annual Power 100 List, was presented with the prestigious TJ Martell Humanitarian Award and was named Music Supervisor of the Year by the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM). PJ is a two-time BMI Pop Award winner, two-time BMI Urban Award winner, two-time ASCAP Pop Award winner and has received a host of other awards and accolades. He is also a founding member of the Guild of Music Supervisors (GMS).
As a Music Supervisor in the Entertainment Industry, he has created and produced unique soundtracks for over fifty films, hundreds of television episodes, video games, advertisements and even amusement park thrill rides. PJ has collaborated with such prolific filmmakers and television producers as Ryan Murphy, Steven Spielberg, Michael Mann, Jerry Bruckheimer and Ridley Scott while rendering his distinctive brand to nearly every studio and network in the Hollywood system and beyond.
PJ's career soundtrack sales tally more than 50 million singles and 15 million albums worldwide. As the Music Supervisor for the entire groundbreaking Glee franchise, his work holds the record for most charted songs by a single act in Billboard Hot 100 chart history, surpassing Elvis Presley, The Beatles and James Brown.
PJ is a partner in Neophonic Music and Media, one of the largest full-service Music Supervision firms in the US. His company boasts over twenty high-profile productions annually including the award-winning series American Horror Story, Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire as well as new hit series The Americans and Banshee. Neophonic has had a venture partnership with HBO for over eighteen years and claims Nestle/Purina as an ad client.
In 2007 PJ Bloom founded Black Magnetic Records and Publishing, a full service entity to house and exploit his artist and songwriter signings. Since inception, Black Magnetic has claimed three Top 10 hits including two No. 1's and has sold over 17 million singles.
In 2013 PJ signed pop act A Great Big World. Their No. 1 song "Say Something", a duet with Christina Aguilera, has been certified Triple Platinum in the US, Canada and Australia, is Top 10 in over 20 countries and topped the charts at iTunes, Billboard, Spotify, Shazam, VH1 and more. AGBW has appeared on The Voice, So You Think You Can Dance, the American Music Awards and are anticipated Grammy frontrunners for 2015.
In 2009 PJ signed Far East Movement whose No. 1 song "Like A G6" and No. 7 song "Rocketeer" have sold over 15 million singles worldwide. FM's 2012 album 'Dirty Bass' and its singles "Turn Up The Love" and "Live My Life" have broken Top 20 in over twenty countries and Top 10 in over ten.
In 2012 PJ signed Dead Sara, who Rolling Stone Magazine touted as the next big rock act of the decade. Dead Sara's first single "Weatherman" broke the charts in 2012. They have appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and spent much of 2013 opening for Muse on their US arena tour. Dead Sara was a featured act on the 2012 Vans Warped Tour and in 2013 signed to Epic Records. Their second LP is due in 2014.
In 2013 PJ signed rock act The Last Internationale. The band is currently making their major label debut album with Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against The Machine) producing. Early critical acclaim has TLI well poised for major success in 2014.
