‘WWE – The Us Championship: A Legacy of Greatness’ Review

16 May 2016 10:32 AM, PDT | Blogomatic3000 | See recent Blogomatic3000 news »

I’ve often said that I find the history WWE Blu-Ray releases the best, so when one was released celebrating the Us Championship I was obviously looking forward to it. Although we often see people like John Cena dominating the belt these days it has one of the more interesting histories of any of the belts. WWE – The Us Championship: A Legacy of Greatness reveals just how varied this history is.

The fact that WWE now has a huge library of footage from all kinds of wrestling federations from the past allows them to pull out some real gems. These include matches that aren’t even complete, and don’t feature commentary. This is the case of Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat with Andre the Giant as guest referee. Filmed in 1978 in Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling it is a nice addition for the history loving wrestling fan, especially those who love Andre. »

Nxt is still in WrestleMania mode as we get more taped footage from their Dallas shows – and we’ve got in-ring action from Shinsuke Nakamura, Austin Aries, Baron Corbin and Bayley. And it’s all pretty darn good. It’s this week’s Nxt Review & Results…

William Regal opens the show by thanking the fans for Nxt Takeover: Dallas, and announces that Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa will face The Vaudevillains and that Shinksuke Nakamura and Bayley would be in action. Sounds like it should be a good show!

1. Austin Aries vs. Angelo Dawkins

The commentators seemed hell-bent on making Angelo Dawkins seem stupid, and they don’t have to try too hard. He does a lot of jaw-jacking and taunts, but none of them really mean anything. Aries does a lot of his trademark spots, but Dawkins got more offence that you’d think. Aries wins with a running »

Tessa Blanchard, Daughter of WWE Legend Tully Blanchard, Wrestles at Lucha Underground Taping

12 January 2016 11:39 AM, PST | | See recent news »

For those of you who are veteran viewers of the WWE than the name Tully Blanchard needs little to no introduction.  Blanchard was once of member of one of wrestling’s greatest “teams” or “groups” called The Four Horsemen.  While Blanchard is now 61 years old that doesn’t mean that the light of the torch has burned out.  In fact, it’s been passed on to his daughter Tessa Blanchard. Tessa recently worked a dark match against Ivelisse Velez at Saturday’s Lucha Underground TV tapings. There was a cage match that kicked off the tapings. Lee Spielman of the band “Trash Talk”
