Keep your shirts on, Captain Ross will return and probably without his. The BBC confirms it has renewed the Poldark TV show for a third season on BBC One. There was little worry that Poldark would be cancelled. Last month, we reported filming had already begun on season three. In Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, Mon Mothma appeared and briefed the Rebel Alliance on the plan for the Battle of Endor. Aside from that moment, she didn’t really have a pivotal role in the film. Mothma in Return of the Jedi was portrayed by Caroline Blakiston, however, in Rogue One, she will be played by Genevieve O'Reill. This isn’t O'Reill’s first time portraying the Rebel Leader. She portrayed Mothma in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Don’t remember? Well, you wouldn’t, unless you own the DVD version. It has been a big week for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story reveals, with plenty of character and story details arriving alongside some absolutely stunning new photos. Today, we get an even closer look at the plot, along with some sure to become iconic images from this first Star Wars spinoff. This time, the focus is on returning character Mon Mothma, who was first introduced in Return of the Jedi. We also get an awesome fiery shot of a Death Trooper.
Mon Mothma is a former senator responsible for uniting disparate planetary systems who have come under the tyrannical rule of the Galactic Empire. She is sometimes known as 'The Mother of the Rebellion', and was first introduced way back in 1983's Return of the Jedi, where she delivered the pilot debriefing before the raid on the second Death Star. Radio Times reports the Poldark TV show has been renewed for a third season on BBC One. According to the report, although the BBC has not yet announced recommissioning the program for a third series, filming has already been scheduled for September, 2016. In the Us, season one of Poldark premiered on PBS under the Masterpiece banner in June 2015. The second season of Poldark will air on BBC One in fall, 2016. PBS has yet to announce Poldark, season two.

The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer hit this morning, and it is simply amazing! The perfect blend of old and new as the first spinoff arrives from director Gareth Edwards. While it has long been rumored that Darth Vader or Boba Fett might show up in this sneak peek footage, it was another iconic character that completely took fans breath away. Simply because she doesn't look to have aged a day since we first saw her in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi over thirty years ago.

If The Force Awakens had one herculean trial to undertake - relaunch the Star Wars franchise for a new generation of moviegoers - then Rogue One has a mighty task of its own. This is, after all, both a spin-off from the numbered Star Wars entries and also a prequel to 1977's A New Hope.
