Jumanji And Jurassic World 2 Posters Charge Online

23 May 2017 12:56 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

If you’re a fan of movies that pit people against the savage parts of nature, then you’re in luck. There’s not just one, but two such films on the horizon. Namely, we have belated sequel/reboot Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and the currently untitled sequel to 2015’s smash hit Jurassic World.

Courtesy of Collider, we now have a bunch of posters for these two similarly-themed but very different movies. The posters were on display at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, where studios go to promote their upcoming projects to major brand owners. They aren’t intended to be shown to the general public yet, then, but thanks to the magic of cell phone photography, we have them for you here.

First, we’ve got the poster for Jumanji. As you can see below, it’s clearly harking back to the 1995 original in the use of a very similar logo. »

Sony Releases The Title Of The Next Goosebumps Film

19 May 2017 8:46 AM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

Growing up one of my favorite series to read was Goosebumps by R. L. Stine. They had a great variety of stories that always entertained me, in which kids found themselves in scary situations. The original series which was published by Scholastic Publishing and had 62 books that were released from 1992-1997. In October of 1995 Protocol Entertainment with Scholastic Productions produced a television series that ran for three season on the Fox network. The series which was based on the original titles and was the number one rated children's TV show for three years in the Us. Fast forward some twenty years to October of 2015, Sony Pictures released the film Goosebumps starring Jack Black, Dylan Minnette, Odeya Rush and Ryan Lee. In this big screen adaptation, a group of teenagers have to save their town from the monsters of R. L. Stine's stories when they are accidentally set free. Overall the film did pretty good, »

Sony Summons Official Title, First Artwork For Goosebumps 2

18 May 2017 2:21 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Reader, beware! You’re in for (another) scare. Sony is officially pushing on with its Goosebumps sequel, which will now release under the title Goosebumps: Horrorland on September 21st, 2018.

After engineering a bona fide sleeper hit two years ago, Rob Letterman is back in the director’s chair for Horrorland, and will be working from a script penned by the returning Darren Lemke (Turbo). Story-wise, we understand that Sony has earmarked two of R.L. Stine’s horror novels for creative inspiration: One Day at Horrorland and 2000’s Return to Horrorland. Completing the creative reunion – behind the lens, at least – it’s also worth noting that Deborah Forte and Neal H. Moritz are back, back, back for another round of supernatural thrills and spills.

In front of the camera, it’s a different story. Although Sony has settled on an official title for Goosebumps 2, along with the reveal of »

Goosebumps 2 Gets Titled Horrorland, New Logo Revealed

18 May 2017 12:59 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Goosebumps 2 was announced earlier this year and we now have an official title as well as promo art to share. The R.L. Stine Goosebumps book series was adapted into a blockbuster movie in 2015 and was a modest success. Now Sony has announced the subtitle of the sequel via new promotional art that Coming Soon has revealed and it's entitled Goosebumps: Horrorland, which is the title of Stine's Goosebumps spin-off series. Goosebumps: Horrorland is loosely based off of the 16th book in the original series, One Day at Horrorland and the 13th book in the Goosebumps 2000 Return to Horrorland.

Goosebumps: Horrorland was initially due to be released in January of 2018, but has been pushed back until September 2018 for unknown reasons, but leads one to believe that a fall release near Halloween would make perfect sense. While it's just speculation at the moment, it appears that Horrorland will »

Goosebumps 2 gets title, release date

18 May 2017 11:17 AM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

David Crow May 19, 2017

Goosebumps 2 will be called Goosebumps: Horrorland, it's been confirmed

For audiences of a certain age, it is a bit heartwarming to see R.L. Stine’s delightfully campy thrills for kids, the Goosebumps book series, are taking on a new life in recent years thanks in part to the revitalisation of the brand with the spin-off series Gososebumps Horrorland as well as Sony Pictures’ Goosebumps movie from 2015. It now looks like both influences are being combined in 2018’s now official slated and dated sequel, Goosebumps: Horrorland.

Likely taking some big inspiration from the new book series which began in 2009, Goosebumps Horrorland is the first set of books in Stine’s universe that follows a continuous story centered on Horrorland, a theme park described as the “scariest place on Earth.” It is also where characters from many of his Goosebumps novels interact and crossover as paths cross as the not-so-fair fairgrounds. »

Toxie Returns in ‘The Toxic Avenger’ The Musical

11 May 2017 4:43 AM, PDT | The Cultural Post | See recent The Cultural Post news »

I remember growing up when the real super heroes wore tutu’s and carried a mop. This may sound strange to some people, but I can assure you this wasn’t a weird childhood fantasy, I am talking about the original avenger Toxie, in The Toxic Avenger (1984). I have enjoyed the continuing story of ‘The Toxic Avenger’ which includes 3 sequels and a children’s cartoon, so when I heard that they would be continuing the story with a new rock musical I was eager to check it out.

I originally saw the musical version of The Toxic Avenger during a limited run at the Southwark Playhouse in 2016 and it was one of the best musicals I have seen. The show is in keeping with the dark violent humour of the original films and had me laughing throughout. The fact it is a musical may not appeal to everyone, but Toxie »

Led Zeppelin Is Hollywood’s New Secret Weapon

12 April 2017 9:58 AM, PDT | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

Rock’s most flamboyant band is setting the stage for a summer of movies.

If you’re me, the first thing you thought of when you saw the Thor: Ragnarok trailer was King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. No, not because both movies feature a dethroned ruler who is trying to defend his kingdom from an evil sorcerer, or because both feature bombastic feats of slow-motion swordplay, or even because each movie adheres to a sort of punk-medieval aesthetic with splashes of color (well, Ok, now I’m thinking of those things). No, I thought of King Arthur: Legend of the Sword because that was the other trailer in only a month’s span to pull out all the stops and feature an iconic song by Led Zeppelin, arguably the greatest band that ever lived. They’re big, they’re bold, and they’re Hollywood’s new secret weapon when it comes to blockbuster titles.
