There has been much debate on the various scifi bulletin boards concerning her actual birth year. She herself has consistently declined to give an answer as to her birth year - when asked about her birth date she simply replies, "October 11."
Finalist 1990 Globe Shakespeare Competition.
Her pregnancy was written into the Stargate SG-1 (1997) Season Nine finale "Crusade" and "Camelot".
She gave birth to a boy in December 2005.
She gave birth to her second son on November 9, 2007.
She has appeared in two different series in which her character lived in or visited the Lost City of Atlantis: in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys: Atlantis (1997), she played Cassandra, a scientist living in the city, while in Stargate SG-1: The Pegasus Project (2006), she played Vala Mal Doran, a regular character on that series, who visited the city, located in the Pegasus galaxy.
Older son named Odin, after the Norse battle/war god. Younger son named Viggo, which means warlike or warrior.
In recent years, she has turned to voice acting.
First met Moonlight (2007) co-star David Blue while filming the episode "Sonata". After filming, they discovered they were both represented by the same Voiceover agency. They continue to remain friends.
