Gilmore Girls Netflix Revival Gets a Title and Motion Poster

20 May 2016 11:34 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Back in October, we reported that Netflix is bringing another beloved show back to life, with a new season of Gilmore Girls, the beloved show that ran for seven seasons on The WB and The CW between 2000 and 2007. The initial report claimed that the show will consist of four 90-minute movies, which will span all four seasons, winter, spring, summer and fall, with the working title rumored to be Gilmore Girls: Seasons. Today we finally have confirmation of the official title, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

The Netflix Twitter account unveiled the Gilmore Girls Revival title with a new motion poster, while series star Lauren Graham also appeared on Ellen yesterday to reveal the title to her audience, in an episode that will air on Monday. The actress confirmed that the season will be comprised of four 90-minute episodes before unveiling the title. Here's what she had to say, »

Lauren Graham Reveals The Official Title Of Netflix’s Gilmore Girls Revival

20 May 2016 10:45 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

You can all relax now: Netflix’s hotly anticipated revival of Gilmore Girls finally has an official title, at least according to leading actress Lauren Graham. The show shall be called: Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life. Granted, not the most intensely exciting title of all time, but at least it says what’s in the package.

Graham stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show today to drop the title – and it certainly confirms, beyond any lingering doubt, that Netflix and the original Gilmore Girls cast are going on with the revival. The new show is not quite a fully-fledged TV series, though. It will appear as a miniseries of four hour and a half episodes, each of them covering a season in a calendar year. This might not be what all Gilmore Girls fans were hoping for, but it’s better than nothing. What’s more, if the »

We still don't know when we may see the first trailer, or when Netflix will announce the premiere date, but today we have one final photo from the set, featuring series stars Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson.
