Father of A. Scott Berg, Jeff Berg, and Tony Berg.
He was a long-time friend of Rod Serling.
He preferred working in television rather than theatrical film, because of the faster pace and larger audience.
While running an art gallery and an art-supply store, he wrote scripts for live TV.
He was a dialogue coach for Roy Rogers and other "cowboy" stars at Republic Pictures.
He was a pioneer of made-for-TV movies in the 1970s.
