He ran Martin Benson Films, based in Radlett, Hertfordshire, which made educational and training films, some for Save the Children. He wrote, directed and sometimes narrated these films.

(1953) He acted in Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II's musical, "The King and I", at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London, England with Valerie Hobson, Herbert Lom, Muriel Smith, Doreen Duke, Sonya Hana and Jan Muzurus in the cast.
