Roy C. Bennett (1918–2015)

Composer, author and hit songwriter ("The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane"), educated at City College of New York. In World War II he served in the 14th USAAF. He was a staff writer for Mills Music, and composed special music for Elvis Presley films. He joined ASCAP in 1947, and collaborated with Sid Tepper. His other popular-song compositions include ...
