'Samurai Jack' Returns in 2016 with a New Season

Adult Swim is excited to announce that Jack is Back. Creator and executive producer Genndy Tartakovsky continues the epic story of Samurai Jack with a new season that will premiere on Adult Swim's Toonami block in 2016. The new season is currently in production in Los Angeles at Cartoon Network Studios. Adult Swim has released the first trailer for the return of Samurai Jack, along with a new poster.

Samurai Jack originally aired for four seasons on Cartoon Network, with a 52-episode run that aired between 2001 and 2004. The series is set in a distant land, following a great warrior displaced to the distant future by the evil shape-shifting wizard Aku. Via a press release, Disney has announced season two of the Disney Junior series, Sheriff Callie's Wild West, will premiere Sunday, November 1, 2015, on the Disney Channel. Check your local listings. Dubbed by the House of Mouse as the "first Western for preschoolers," Sheriff Callie's Wild West stars Mandy Moore as the voice of Callie the cat, town sheriff of Nice and Friendly Corners. Lucas Grabeel voices woodpecker/deputy Peck. Jessica Dicicco voices trusty sidekick, Toby the cactus.

'The Lion King' Story Continues in First 'Lion Guard' Clip

The epic storytelling of Disney's The Lion King continues with The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar, a primetime television movie event premiering in November on Disney Channel. The movie follows Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, as he assumes the role of leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals tasked with preserving the Pride Lands. The movie is a precursor to The Lion Guard television series, premiering in early 2016 on Disney Channels and Disney Junior channels around the globe. A special preview of The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar will be presented at Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, on Sunday, August 16 (2:00 p.m.), but today Disney Jr. has released the first clip from this TV movie, and revealed the full voice cast.

Hakuna matata, everybody! "The Lion King" is returning -- it's the circle of life after all -- with a primetime TV movie this November on the Disney Channel. Disney/ABC just shared details on "The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar," which will follow Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, as he assumes the role of leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals tasked with preserving the Pride Lands. This movie event will lead into "The Lion Guard" TV series, premiering in early 2016 on Disney Channels and Disney Junior channels.
