Kristen Bell and Toby Keith will host this year's Cmt Music Awards. The 'House of Lies' actress and the 'Made in America' singer will present the annual ceremony, which takes place in Nashville, Tennesse on June 6. John Hamlin, Svp, Music Events and Talent, Cmt, told Us Weekly: ''Toby Keith and Kristen Bell are a terrific one-two knockout punch for the 2012 Cmt Music Awards. Toby has been involved with our show every year since its inception and Kristen is as entertaining and witty as any young actor working today. - After eight seasons of capturing the bad guys, A&E has pulled the plug on "Dog the Bounty Hunter." The show, which starred Duane "Dog" Chapman, first aired in August 2004. A source tells TMZ that the show was sacked over "creative differences." [TMZ]
- "Rules of Engagement" is hanging on for another season. The CBS comedy wasn't among the network's renewals announced at the upfronts last week, but the Eye and producer Sony Pictures TV have reached a deal for 13 more episodes, which will push it to the magic syndication number of 100. [EW]

The big finale of "American Idol"'s 11th season is finally upon us this week, and we noticed that this year's two finalists look as cut out for the camera as they do for the stage (hello Phillip Phillips!).
It certainly doesn't hurt that so many "Idol" alums before them have successfully launched from the show's giant platform into the world of film.
In fact, there have been a lot of reality stars in general who've made a name in the movie scene. Here are our top 15.

Funnyman Dax Shepard and his actress fiancee Kristen Bell were fined during a recent safari holiday in Africa for dancing with wildebeest on the plains of the Serengeti.
The fun-loving couple decided to make the most of their trip by shooting a video of themselves dancing, which they planned to put to music upon their return, but African wildlife police weren't impressed with their moves.
Shepard explains, "We wanted to see the wildebeest migrate so we had driven five hours in the car, we finally got to them on the Serengeti, we got out of the car (and) we started doing a dance for this music video.
"We weren't paying attention and then the Serengeti police showed up and they fined us $50 for dancing at the Serengeti."
However, they got to keep the footage and now plan to use Africa by Toto as the soundtrack to their safari video.
Bell and Shepard treated pal Jimmy Kimmel to a clip when they appeared on his late night show last week - the footage showed the adventurous couple running after a group of giraffes. »

TNT’s Leverage is sticking with tradition and loading up on fun guest stars for its upcoming season.
In addition to the previously announced Cary Elwes, Treat Williams and Matthew Lillard, series lead Timothy Hutton tells TVLine that Ronny Cox (Total Recall) and go-to toughie Fred Ward (Tremors) will both appear in this season’s sixth episode, titled ”The D.B. Cooper Job.”

If you aren’t familiar with Dax Shepard beyond Parenthood, and especially if you haven’t caught some of his more recent indie work, like The Freebie, you may be surprised by just how talented he is. Now, I don’t know if Hit and Run, the upcoming title that he wrote, co-directed, and stars in, is a surefire winner, but it looks like a lot of fun.
Coming to a theater near you on August 24th, Hit and Run is an action-comedy starring Shepard as a man whose past catches up to him when he least expects it… sort of. Unbeknownst to his fiancé (Kristen Bell), Charlie (Shepard) is in the witness protection program, and everything is about the life she thinks she’s in is about to start falling apart.

A host of trailers have arrived in the last 24 hours, and it being the start of Cannes and one of the busier days of the year, we've done a little round-up of them for you below. First up, Bradley Cooper is sporting some sweet dreadlocks in the new trailer of the Dax Shepard-written action comedy, “Hit And Run,” which is co-directed by Shepard and David Palmer. I gotta admit, I chuckled a couple of times during the trailer for “Hit and Run”, a new action-comedy from Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell, and Bradley Cooper sporting ill-fitting dreadlocks. Then again, anal prison rape jokes always makes me chuckle. Check it out for yourself. By the way, this has nothing to do with anything, but I still remember Shepard from the Ashton Kutcher prank show “Punk’d”. Dude has really come a long way. Just thought I’d put that out there. Real-life comedic couple Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell look to bring their collective talents to road trip comedy Hit And Run. Both are known for outrageous roles in the likes of Employee Of The Month and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and even when disappointing efforts, the duo are always likeable.
Shepard wrote and co-directs, alongside David Palmer, the tale of suitably named Charlie Bronson; a former career criminal who just so happens to be in witness protection. That is until he and his unknowing girlfriend are paid a visit by the man he gave evidence against and happens to owe money to. Bradley Cooper plays the dreadlocked villain in this (hopefully) fun action rom-com, expected later this year.

Dax Shepard has come a long way since his days helping Ashton Kutcher pull pranks on celebrities as a regular on Punk'd. Shepard has appeared in more than a dozen movies since Punk'd and he not only leads the cast in the upcoming action-comedy Hit and Run (formerly Outrun), but he also wrote and co-directed (with David Palmer) the movie.
Shepard plays Charlie Bronson, a former getaway driver who flees from the Witness Protection Program to drive his girlfriend — played by Shepard's real-life fiancé, Kristen Bell — to Los Angeles for her dream job. Bronson will have to put his driving skills to the test because he's pursued by not only the feds, but his old bank robber buddies, and one of them (Bradley Cooper) has just cause to be more than a little "sore" with Bronson, as revealed in the new trailer for the movie.

Open Road Films has released a trailer for their new comedy called Hit and Run. It was written by Dax Shepard who also co-directed the film with David Palmer. Shepard also stars in the movie alongside Bradley Cooper, Kristen Bell, David Koechner, Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Arnold.
I don't really care for most of the films Shepard has starred in over the years, but this one looks like it could be entertaining. It doesn't hurt that he's surrounded himself with a great cast of actors, and it looks like this could be the best role Tom Arnold has had since True Lies.
