If True Blood Season Five could be easily summed up – and really, it can’t – the theme was about the consequences of one’s actions. Unlike the previous season, this one seemed determined to tidy things up and thin out the herd a bit. During the course of the season, Alan Ball let it be known this would be his final outing as showrunner and clearly, he was determined to be the one to say farewell to a few friends and foes. The season therefore zipped along at a wild, frenetic pace that saw more fangs, blood, and naked bodies than before.
Since Charlaine Harris’ novels began being adapted for HBO, the supporting cast has grown and interestingly, they’re the ones who appear to be the most interesting, getting the deepest development. The triangle of protagonist/antagonist/lover of Sookie, Bill, and Eric sees them getting the least depth »

HBO has dropped 22 brand new photos from Season 6 of "True Blood."
The pics feature returning stars Alexander Skarsgard as Eric Northman and Kristin Bauer van Straten as Pam, covered in blood, as well as an unbloody Stephen Moyer as Bill Compton (he, of course ended Season 5 drenched in it).
Other shots show newcomers to the franchise, including Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Nicole Wright, Rutger Hauer as Niall Brigant, Rob Kazinksky as Ben Flynn, Arliss Howard as Governor Truman Burrell and Amelia Rose Blaire as Willa Burrell.

The sixth season of HBO‘s True Blood debuts on June 16th with 10 episodes on the horizon for fans waiting their beloved series return. The Alan Ball-created series has star Stephen Moyer helming the first episode of season 6, with favorites like Anna Paquin, Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Kristin Bauer, Nelsan Ellis, Alexander Skarsgard, Deborah Ann Woll, Chris Bauer and more starring. Haven't seen True Blood? Here's what you're missing! Thanks to a Japanese scientist's invention of synthetic blood, vampires have progressed from legendary monsters to fellow citizens overnight. And while humans have been safely removed from the menu, many remain apprehensive about these creatures "coming out of the coffin." Religious leaders and government officials around the world have chosen their sides, but in the small Louisiana town of Bon Temps, the jury is still out. »

Slowly, slowly, True Blood is coming our way. The Season 6 is less than than two months away (by the way, Game of Thrones fans, that means that the Game of Thrones Season 3 finale is far less than two months away) so HBO is trickling out these droplets of True Blood like a precious commodity. It would be irritating if we weren’t looking forward to it so very much.
The latest offerings are another in the series of teaser clips, the clips that are taken from behind the scenes so they’re partially obscured, and all you’re really getting is the audio. That is taken a step further in the TV spot that follows, because it’s all audio except for that bottle…

Stars: Dewshane Williams, Seth Green, Lou Taylor Pucci, Cary Elwes, Al Sapienza, Kristin Bauer | Written and Directed by Alonso Mayo
Autism awareness has steadily increased over the last decade. Though the public is far more educated on the topic than the past, a large misunderstanding still remains. The spectrum of autism is vast covering a variety of characteristics and behaviors, which may help explain why it has been handled so differently in films. Films like Rain Main present it with more of a comedic edge, while something like Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close relies more on the dramatic aspects. Alonso Mayo’s The Story of Luke cuts the difference. The Story of Luke is small indie dramedy that puts a small twist on the coming of age tale. While the story is certainly familiar, its large amount of sincerity causes it to be touching tale of overcoming odds. This slice-of-life »

Sixteen years ago today, Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion hit theaters. It’s hard to believe it was so long ago… But now we get to revisit Lisa Kudrow, Mira Sorvino and the rest of the cast, which also included Janeane Garofalo, but more surprisingly, Kristen Bauer (!) and Justin Theroux (!!).
Lisa Kudrow (Michele Weinberger)
The former Friends actress has starred in a slew of shows and films. Kudrow currently stars in Web Therapy as Fiona Wallice, a therapist who works with patients over the internet.
Mira Sorvino (Romy White)
Sorvino has popped up here and there, including a 2000 film version of The Great Gatsby and Mimic. The latter resulted in a compound excreted by the sunburst diving beetle being named after her (“mirasorvone”).
Up Next: Alan Cumming, Jennifer Aniston’s fiance and more. »

The first TV spot for True Blood came out a few weeks ago, and raised all sorts of interesting thoughts about what may be in store for us when the series returns for its sixth season on June 16. Now HBO has started to release the same type of on-set/behind the scenes obscured clips that they did last year for Season 5, giving us tantalizing glimpses into what is coming. HBO is a giant tease.

‘True Blood’ returns June 16, and thanks to Alexander Skarsgard, we now know what the viewers — and the vampires — are in for!
Alexander Skarsgard may be a man of few words, but when he’s talking about True Blood, every word is precious. The giant Viking of a human stopped by Live with Kelly and Michael on April 9, and he dropped a tasty little nugget about the show’s upcoming sixth season. Let’s just say “Billith” might not be Eric’s biggest concern.
“Humans have never been a problem [for vampires],” Alex teased. “But for the first time, they’re actually a real threat. Eric’s real busy this year.”
I guess this quote explains why Pam (Kristin Bauer Van Straten) and Tara (Rutina Wesley) are being held at gunpoint by humans in the first official teaser trailer for season six.

Lou Taylor Pucci and Seth Green Talk The Story of Luke
The dramatic comedy The Story of Luke shows us a character we rarely see in modern cinema: a young autistic man who wants to forge his own path through life, instead of being dependent on others. Lou Taylor Pucci stars as Luke, a 25 year old autistic man who has lived a sheltered life with his grandparents, after his mother abandoned him. When his grandmother dies, Luke decides he wants to get a job and fend for himself for the first time in his life.
I recently had the chance to speak with Lou Taylor Pucci and Seth Green, who plays Luke's socially inept boss Zack, over the phone about this fantastic indie, debuting in theaters April 5. Here's what they had to say.
Lou, can you talk about the things you did to bring this character to life? Did you speak with autistic people, »

Title: The Story of Luke Director: Alonso Mayo Starring: Lou Taylor Pucci, Cary Elwes, Kristin Bauer, Seth Green, Tyler Stentiford, Mackenzie Munro, Kenneth Welsh, Sabryn Rock A winning little dramedy hung chiefly on the solid peg of Lou Taylor Pucci’s lead performance, “The Story of Luke” offers up an experiential snapshot of adult autism without descending into cloying sentimentality or didactic moralizing. Written and helmed by first-time feature director Alonso Mayo — and rooted in childhood experiences of watching his mother oversee an educational center for kids and adults with developmental delays — the movie is mostly a comedy, but one that largely eschews outlandishness and never drifts too far [ Read More ]

‘True Blood’ returns June 16! Watch the first official tease from the new season here.
HBO has released the first 30-second look at the upcoming sixth season of True Blood, and it’s unspeakably intense. Quick cuts reveal Bill (Stephen Moyer) in all his “Billith” glory, chasing down Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), picking up right where season five left off — and that’s where the real fun begins.
‘True Blood’ Promo Reveals 5 Major Season 6 Teases
1. “Billith” looks to be completely out of his mind. Even for a guy who’s naked and totally covered in blood, he seems especially insane, as he rips the Authority headquarters apart and emerges from the burning wreckage. I think it’s safe to say he’ll be a considerable threat in season six.
2. Could there already be trouble in paradise for Tara (Rutina Wesley) and Pam (Kristin Bauer Van Straten)? A quick »
