Real-Life Full House House Is for Sale and It's Expensive

31 May 2016 12:14 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Earlier this year, fans of the hit 1980s sitcom Full House were given a dose of nostalgia when Netflix debuted the hit spinoff Fuller House. The show follows the widowed DJ Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure) as she moved back into her childhood home, enlisting her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and best friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber) to help raise her children. The original show used a now-iconic house in San Francisco for establishing and exterior shots, and if you have a few million bucks to spare, the house can be yours.

Realtor.com reports that the house, located at 1709 Broderick St. in the Lower Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, has just been put on the market, at an asking price of $4.15 million. This house wasn't used at all for Fuller House, with the Netflix spinoff constructing an elaborate re-creation of the home on a studio soundstage in Burbank, California. Here's »

DJ’s love life is getting more complicated.

One Life to Live” star John Brotherton has been upped to a series regular for season two of Netflix’s “Fuller House” revival, Variety has learned. He plays Matt Harmon, a love interest for DJ (Candace Cameron Bure).

In the first season, Matt, the son of Dr. Fred Harmon (Robin Thomas) who’s now a successful, handsome veterinarian in his late 30s, returned home to visit his father. He hadn’t seen DJ since he was a little boy — and sparks fly again between him and DJ.

DJ’s original “Full House” boyfriend Steve (Scott Weigner) is also part of the Netflix series. With Brotherton on board, all signs point to a love triangle, now that Matt is around for the long haul.

Kicking Television: 'Fuller House' and the Stasis of Nostalgia

19 April 2016 11:52 AM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

One of the most vivid memories I have of my adolescence is gorging on Doritos and Pepsi in my friend Tim’s basement and watching TV. There was no junk food in my home. I used to try and make my own Orange Crush from tonic water and orange juice. I was not a cool tween. I don’t know what the cool 12-year-olds were doing on their Friday nights in the late 80s, but they definitely weren’t in Tim’s basement laughing at the comedic stylings of the Olsen twins, cutting-it-out with Dave Coulier, digging on Jesse and the Rippers, crushing on Candace Cameron, and augmenting our sugar cravings with the sweet banality of Full House. Full House has returned to the television landscape as Fuller House, part of a wave of reboots. The Netflix series essentially flips the premise of its forbearer; recently widowed DJ Tanner-Fuller »

Why TV Reboots Are Pointless, and We Should Just Let Go

1 April 2016 11:45 AM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Fuller House premiered on Netflix this year, after nearly 12 months of rumors, reunions, and official teasers and trailers. Most of the original cast returned for the reboot, and the updated storyline - D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure) is now a recently widowed veterinarian with two boys and a new baby, and her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Bff Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) move in to their original San Francisco home to help her care for her kids - seems to be a hit with fans of the original show, so much so that it was renewed for a second season. Fuller House seems like a fun time, and it's clear that there are people out there who have enjoyed getting to find out where all these characters have ended up - but I haven't watched, and likely won't ever. I actually won't be watching any of the upcoming TV reboots, »

Fuller House Review – Back To The Tanner Well?

11 March 2016 11:03 AM, PST | AreYouScreening.com | See recent AreYouScreening news »

It’s been 20 years since the Tanners were on television, and Netflix‘ Fuller House is an effort that had a lot of people wondering if the world really wanted to revisit the family. The theory of the show has a lot going for it, but audiences need to see things through a very specific lens.

In a world with more sequels, reboots, and reimaginings than it needs, and with the popularity (or at least Roi) of several film trips to the 80s, it just isn’t that strange to take another ride with a popular show.

That said, it can’t go unmentioned that Fuller House isn’t a good show. It just isn’t. But, it isn’t a terrible show either, and you’ve got to remember that it isn’t a look back to a good show, so you need to accurately set your bar.
