While at Whittier College, spent a semester in Denmark. Graduated from Whittier College.

Has many fond memories of the days she played Kimmy Gibbler on the sitcom "Full House" (1987), however there was one problem: wardrobe. "Once in a while the costume people would say, 'Hey, kids, take home whatever you want'," recalls Barber, who would usually just take home a pair of pants, while the other castmates would grab armloads of clothes.

After their September 2002 wedding, she and her husband moved to England to attend graduate school at the University of York.

She and husband Jeremy had their first baby on April 30, 2004, his name is Tate James. He weighed 6 lbs, 7 oz and was 20 inches long. Their second child, a daughter named Felicity Ruth, was born on April 10, 2007.
