A CGI truck going over a cliff, a man in a hairy suit, murder and torn faces, surely this is a Sasquatch-ploitation film. Primitive might be more than that as its story tells tales of a special effects artist and his realistic nightmares. If he dreams of their death, then it happens not much later. Soon, a whole town is in danger with Martin (Matt O'Neill) connected to each of the gory murders. Who will be the next to meet the beast? Arriving to a postcard perfect California bungalow in West Hollywood this past Monday, April 16th, I was already privy to the undead horrors I’d find inside, although I doubt the surrounding neighbors were aware that courtesy of filmmaker Joseph Weisman a Zombie Family had moved in.
Shooting day four of six of the intended horror/comedy web series Zombie Family, writer and director Weisman took time between filming a scene (in which a pubescent zombie finds some ‘alone time’ in the home’s bathroom to peruse the ‘Kill of the Month’ centerfold in Homicide Girl Magazine) to chat with us regarding the project, as did associate producer and makeup effects lead Frank Ippolito, actress Cerina Vincent, and more.

Bad boy alien Johnny Xavier (Will Keenan) and his gang The Ghastly Ones are charged with theft and civil disobedience. They are exiled to Earth by the Grand Inquisitor (the late, great Kevin McCarthy) until they can demonstrate an unselfish act.

Dread Central hit the carpet of the season finale wrap party of Syfy series "Monster Man" this past Monday, April 16th, in Hollywood and brought back a gallery's worth of photos and highlights of our chat with "Monster Man" star/Sota FX’s Roy Knyrim.
Held at the Rolling Stone Lounge at the Hollywood & Highland complex in the heart of Hollywood, California, those on hand for the festivities included the previously mentioned filmmaker/effects artist Knyrim along with fellow "Monster Man" cast members Cleve Hall, Constance Hall, Elora Hall and Sonja Maddox-Hall as well as Johnny Saiko and Cindy Miller. Experiencing Don Coscarelli’s latest, John Dies at the End, was a trip at South by Southwest.
