In the last episode of NCIS, we saw Gibbs fight against the law to help a former Navy Corpsman who faced criminal charges when she rendered aid to civilian victims of a car crash. Since she was not a doctor, nurse or Emt, it is against the law to provide medical services, but she intervened knowing the risks to save lives.

The decision not to renew the Mark-Paul Gosselaar-Breckin Meyer buddy series likely is related to the cable network’s move toward edgier programming, per our sister site Deadline, which first posted the news.
Franklin & Bash thus far this season was averaging 1.2 million total weekly viewers and a 0.3 demo rating, down from Season 3’s 2.1 mil/0.6.
The series fourth season finale, which aired Oct. 22, will be its final episode.

On the heels of landing a juicy midseason role on The CW’s The Flash, TV’s erstwhile spy daddy has booked a guest-starring gig on CBS’ Blue Bloods, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Appearing in the Nov. 21 episode, Garber will play Donald Stein, the charismatic scion of a New York real estate dynasty. As a highly respected Jewish leader, Stein is deeply disturbed by the recent murders of several prominent Jewish men in the city. Convinced they are hate crimes, he grows frustrated when Frank refuses to share that conclusion without more evidence. »

The show ran for twenty-three years on PBS before being unceremoniously cancelled in late 2006. Since then, host LeVar Burton & co have launched a Reading Rainbow app – an education tool for children, allowing them to read and view a vast number of books and interviews; though it wasn’t until earlier this year, with Burton’s impassioned plea via Kickstarter, that Reading Rainbow truly returned into the national consciousness. Burton’s Kickstarter campaign sought to raise funds to launch the app on the web, smart-phones and other streaming devices, as well as for free for needy impoverished schools. Within eleven hours, one million dollars had been raised for Reading Rainbow – and when all was said and done, over five million in sum had been donated.
