Fay Baker was born on January 31, 1917 in New York City, New York, USA as Fay Schwager. She was an actress, known for Notorious (1946), The House on Telegraph Hill (1951) and The Star (1952). She was married to Arthur Weiss. She died on December 8, 1987 in Sleepy Hollow, New York.

She was also a successful author under the pen name Beth Holmes. Her novel, "The Whipping Boy", made the Los Angeles Times bestseller list in 1978. She also published, under her own name, "My Darling, Darling Doctors".
Her son Jonathan Baker Weiss (B. December 9, 1950 in Los Angeles) died of a drug overdose in 1972 at age 21. Her daughter Amy Ellen Weiss was born on August 6, 1953 in Los Angeles.
