Nothing aired by WikiLeaks could possibly be more destructive to Sony’s reputation than the release of “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2,” the sort of movie that goes beyond mere mediocrity to offer possible evidence of a civilization in decline. Predicated, like the 2009 original, on the repeated spectacle of Kevin James falling on his face or colliding with a series of heavy objects, this tacky, numbingly inane sequel also functions as a veritable product-placement playground — only this time, the playground isn’t a New Jersey shopping mecca but rather the Wynn Las Vegas & Encore Resort, whose participation saved the studio some $4.2 million in Nevada tax credits. And a good thing, too, insofar as the result is expected to post respectable numbers while falling short of the first pic’s $146 million domestic B.O. haul.
Falling short, of course, is what that lovable loser Paul Blart (James) does again and again — quite literally, »

Kevin James is back as Paul Blart. But there's nothing - nothing, nothing, nothing - here to make anyone think about a Paul Blart 3
This review contains a spoiler for the beginning of Alien 3.
In early 2009, Paul Blart: Mall Cop was Kevin James' family-friendly answer to Die Hard, set in a mall in New Jersey. Released in Us cinemas during a drought of kid-friendly fare, it stuck around in the box office charts for 12 weeks after it was released, eventually hoovering up $146m domestically. Just as quick off the mark as the titular character, it's taken six years for the inevitable Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 to arrive.
After the genre trappings of the first film, it's only logical that the sequel turns out to be a family-friendly Die Hard 2. That is to say, it's basically the first one, all over again, in a different location and somehow not as good. »

On National Security Guard Day, in New York City, security guards will participate in the celebration, beginning in the morning, as they join other New Yorkers in attempting to set two Guinness World Records™ titles on Segways.

Like any doting father would do, Paul Blart (Kevin James) makes sure his daughter (Raini Rodriguez) has plenty of protection before going out in a new clip from Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. Before leaving, Paul runs down the checklist with Maya: extra phone battery, flashlight, hot pepper spray, pocket knife/keychain/window smasher and baby road flares. When Paul insists that she carries a walkie-talkie, set to "monitor" mode, so Paul can hear everything that's going on, Maya reveals she already "feels like a Swat team."
In this sequel, in which Kevin James reprises the role of Paul Blart, the security guard is headed to Las Vegas to attend a Security Guard Expo with his teenage daughter Maya (Raini Rodriguez) before she departs for college. While at the convention, he inadvertently discovers a heist - and it's up to Blart to apprehend the criminals. Neal McDonough, Daniella Alonso, Eduardo Verástegui, »
Set six years after the events of the original, Mall Cop 2 will pick up at a time when Blart has reluctantly agreed to kick back and spend time with his family. But as the trailer suggests, a hero is never off duty. So, when he stumbles upon a dangerous threat during his time at a Security Guard Expo in Las Vegas, it’s up to him to grab the bull by the horns and foil the criminals’ plan before it takes into effect.
Aping Oceans 11 with its large-scale casino heist set-up, the jury is still out on whether Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 can emulate the surprising box office success of its predecessor. Nevertheless, we’re just holding out »
