Hallmark’s Cheesy Christmas Movies Are Already Dominating Cable This Holiday Season — Ratings Watch
Christmas + romance + cute puppies = A recipe for ratings success at Hallmark. The network known for its sappy made-for-tv movies hit it big over the Thanksgiving weekend with five nights of ratings gifts — making for its biggest week in network history. Among total viewers in cable, only “The Walking Dead” (and its companion “Talking Dead”) and NFL football did better than Hallmark’s Friday, Saturday, and Sunday movies.

The film “Switched for Christmas,” starring Candace Cameron Bure as identical twin sisters who swap lives for the holiday, became the most-watched telecast in Hallmark Channel history on Sunday night. The film averaged 5.8 million viewers after three days of DVR and video on demand usage. Mark Deklin, Eion Bailey, and Happy the Dog — see, it ticked all the Hallmark boxes — also starred.

Close behind, Saturday’s “Hallmark Hall of Fame” presentation, “The Christmas Train,” averaged 5.6 million viewers — beating the four broadcast networks on the night.

(Yeah, right.) Once home, Emma had the showdown with the hooded figure that's been plaguing her all season long, only she found the strength to flip the script on Gideon (Giles Matthey), blasting him with her powers and putting up a good fight. TV Review: ‘Who Killed JonBenet?’ on Lifetime

When Lifetime’s original movie “Who Killed JonBenet?” premieres, it will be immediately followed by a two-hour special called “JonBenet’s Mother: Victim or Killer?” on Patsy Ramsey, who Lifetime describes as “the person most people believe killed JonBenet.” Both productions have a great deal in common — blurry re-enactments, melodramatic musical choices, enthusiastic use of grainy home video, leading questions — but unlike the latter, which is a vaguely “investigative” production, “Who Killed JonBenet?” is a dramatic reconstruction of the known details of six-year-old JonBenet Ramsey’s murder in 1996.

In revisiting, the film provides some understanding of why this case was both so bizarre and so intriguing; particularly enlightening is seeing, in reenactment, the numerous ways in which the crime scene was disturbed on the morning of December 26, as family and friends stomped through the house and the body was moved twice. “Who Killed JonBenet?” can, and does, insinuate that JonBenet’s parents, John

Burke Ramsey recently gained a re-surge of attention, following CBS’s true crime docuseries “The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey,” which highlighted a theory that Burke is guilty of his younger sister’s murder in 1996.

O’Reilly’s credits include the CW’s “Legends of Tomorrow” on which he plays Jonas, Rip Hunter’s murdered son. He also voices a main character in the animated film “Howard Lovecraft and the Frozen Kingdom.” In the Lifetime movie, O’Reilly will star alongside previously announced cast members Eion Bailey, Michel Gill
