A former acquisition executive for HBO, Badish formed The Movie Store (later TMS Pictures/Moviestore Entertainment) in 1981, specializing in domestic theatrical and ancillary distribution. Upon the closure of Movie Store in 1993, he went on to start Active Entertainment, a financing, production and distribution company for theatrical and television films.
