Shaw returns for two 'George Gently's

Martin Shaw will return to star in two new feature-length episodes of Inspector George Gently, it has been confirmed. Penned by Peter Flannery (Our Friends In The North) and Jimmy Gardner (This Life), the show will be filmed on location in Durham. Lee Ingleby also returns as Gently's sidekick Detective Sergeant John Bacchus. "It's now 15 years since the BBC filmed Our Friends In The North in and around Newcastle, so it's especially rewarding for me to be back on my home patch," said Flannery.
