Mumbai, May 5: Reacting to reports that actor Riteish Deshmukh, son of former Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, is likely to go his late father's way and join politics, actor-politician Raj Babbar said it is a well thought-out decision. Hema Malini too supports the idea saying he will do a good job.

Lucknow, May 2: Cine star and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (Bjp) leader Hema Malini has expressed a wish to contest the 2014 Lok Sabha (Ls) polls from Firozabad, an important seat in Uttar Pradesh.
She said Wednesday, while speaking at Mathura, that if the Bjp agrees to field her, she would prefer the bangle city over any other place in the country.
Firozabad is currently held by film star-turned-politician Raj Babbar, who trounced Dimple Yadav, wife of Up Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, on a Congress ticket.
While Babbar is likely to be repeated by Congress from this seat, the Samajwadi Party (Sp) has already declared Akshay. »

Arshad and Riya to star in Rabba Main Kya Karoon

After impressing one and all with his performance in Jolly Llb, Arshad Warsi will be seen in a film titled Rabba Main Kya Karoon. The film is directed by Amrit Sagar who earlier made National Award winning film 1971.
In the film, Arshad plays a guy who tries to convince his friend (Akash Sagar) to not get married. Riya Sen plays Arshad's love-interest in the film. Besides Arshad and Riya, the film also stars Shakti Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Raj Babbar.
Rabba Main Kya Karoon is slated to release in July this year. »

Ram Gopal Varma arranged a special screening of The Attacks of 26/11 for Senior Bjp leader Lal Krishna Advani at the national capital. Advani was present there along with various other leaders who cut across party lines to watch the film. Advani was moved to tears in the climax of the film. ‘Brilliant’ is what the senior politician expressed after watching the cinematic interpretation of the 26/11 tragedy.

Mumbai, Feb 3: Smita Patil and Raj Babbar's son Prateik is taking a long introspective sabbatical from the public eye until his next release "Isaaq", a North Indian take on Shakespeare's "Romeo And Juliet", which would be the actor's do-or-die bid to consolidate his precarious position as an eclipsed star son.
The decision, one hears, has been taken by the producers Viacom 18 who saw "Isaaq" and immediately decided to buy its worldwide distribution rights, apparently on condition that Prateik undertake an immediate crash course in career and image reinvention.

Mugdha Godse has replaced Neha Dhupia to do an item song in Tigmanshu Dhulia's sequel to Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. Neha had to opt out of it due to date issues.
